The tour is a great way... - The tour is a great way of getting from Salzburg to Hallstatt. It will allow you to walk around for a bit and look in a few shops. The time in the small town was just right as there was not much to see or do. Keep in mind you will not have enough time to go to the Salt mine tour.

Our Tour Guide Max was... - Our Tour Guide Max was terrific, with several anecdotes along the trip to Hallstatt. The village of Hallstatt is like a fairytale, with wonderful photo ops (we had great weather till the end of our time there, then it rained). A highly recommended place to visit.

An absolute gem! - We had the best experience on this tour with our guide Max! He gave great information on the drive out and was a great joker. We arrived nice and early before the other tour buses came in and this was really important as we were able to go to the Skywalk without any crowds and then enjoy the main town and walk around the lake.

Great Day Out - What a joyful and pleasant Driver & Tour Guide (Max & Alex) Both made the Day to Hallstatt fun, easy and very enjoyable. Well organised and enough time to see this small quaint town. A great day out regardless of Sun or Rain so don’t miss out on such a wonderful experience

Canadian solo traveller - This tour is a must if you are visiting Salzburg. Hallstat is very picturesque. Unfortunately, the Skywalk was under maintenance when I was there.

Stunning destination. - This is such a wonderful experience. It is an absolutley stunning part of the world and the views are breathtaking. Our coach driver was curteous and drove at a comfortable pace for us to be able to take pictures and the tour guide was fantastic. She was really knowledgable about the surrounding areas and bought laughter and fun to our journey.

Beautiful even in the rain - Hallstatt is definitely worth a visit. It is a beautiful place, however it seems to be a major tourist attraction and is therefore extremely busy which people should be prepared for. The tour is more of a shuttle service than a tour, with no real information regarding the region or town and we were given 2 hours and 30 mins to explore. If it is a nice day this might not be enough time to explore everything due to the volume of people. Having said that it was definitely worth a visit.

Max was an excellent tour... - Max was an excellent tour guide. Raining and quite a few of the places were not open before 11am. The boat tour wasn’t running as advised by the tour guide and not long enough also for the funicular if doing the half day Hallstatt. Beautiful scenery, lovely cafe near the church for drinks and snacks.

Picturesque town worth the visit - We arrived at least a half hour before anything in Hallstatt was open. Very picturesque town. Tour provides enough time to walk town from end to end. Visit the church and cemetery with its ornate headstone. Hallstatt Keramics is a great place for true locally made ceramics. Lots of tourist shops and lots of tourists in town. Not enough time to go to the skywalk or take a boat ride on the lake. Weather the day we went was not good enough for either. Beautiful area to visit. Amazing landscape.
