As other reviewers have... - As other reviewers have mentioned there is a lot of driving, however, you have to take into consideration the two main locations are not very close to Vienna. Aside from that, the drive itself was very smooth and our guide/driver Maros was fantastic in calling out cool sights along the way. He provided great details of the itinerary at each location. The boat ride in Hallstatt was refreshing after sitting in the car. The city of Hallstatt was quaint and very cute. We took the funicular that had great panoramic views of the city. Moving on to Salzburg, we made our way through Mozart's home and up to the castle's funicular for another great panoramic view. The timing of all these activities was tight but doable if you manage the clock. We did not feel rushed at all. We had ample time at each location approximately 2 hours. Could we have more time? Sure but it's already a long day and that would only extend even further. It was a great way to see 2 main areas in Austria. Shout out to Maros again, he was great.

Must do trip - This was such a fantastic experience. Maroš was a great guide and gave us so much information about the sites. He also told us about tourist traps which was unexpected but welcome. It was a long day but well worth it.

Vienna with Richard - We had a wonderful day trip with Richard to Hallstatt and Salzburg. Richard served as the guide apart from driving us around the towns. He also drove us from Vienna to Venice and made sure that we safely reach our hotel with the ferry. I will strongly recommend services of Richard while in Vienna.

Spectacular Scenery - Long day but the scenery was spectacular. Marek was an informative and helpful driver/guide. We had a really nice day and having just a group of 8 was nice for interactions and keeping to time.

Great tour - Great tour with enough time for both Hallstatt and Salzburg. Marek did a great job of giving us enough free time to explore the locations on our own while still providing adequate explanations of the history of the area.

This rating and review is... - This rating and review is not for the driver/tour guide. It is about the car that was provided for our tour. From the beginning of the trip, at our first stop in Hallstatt, there was an issue with the car. Our tour guide/driver checked the engine and had to add water, there was a leak. He had to do this a couple of times throughout the day. On the way back to Vienna from Salzburg, the car stopped and we were stranded on the side of the road for over an hour. Our tour guide arranged for a taxi to pick us up and drive us back to the hotel. We arrived back to the hotel after 11 pm. We found out during this process that the car was a rental car and the company did not have any other cars to provide for us on that day. I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience, however, the company offered a discount for future trips. We left the next day, so did not have an opportunity to use the discount. Our tour guide/driver, Marek, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed Hallstatt and Salzburg, but this car situation put a damper on the day.
