Absolutely brilliant! - We loved this afternoon tour yesterday (21/01/26) with Lakshan as our guide. He was very helpful and stopped to allow us to take pictures and videos. (I tried uploading to trip advisor earlier and for some reason would not work)
Pick up and drop off was on time and the vehicle was very comfortable and safe..unlike the looks of some others I saw doing safari!
We were very lucky & saw 2 leopards, family of elephants very up close! Crocodiles, mongoose, iguanas, loads of water buffalo and deer and so many different birds - I now have a new appreciation of birds and we were lucky enough to see an eagle with its prey and eating it only 2 meters from us. We saw other animals too.
I have read some reviews saying people were disappointed with not seeing as many animals etc but I would like to remind people that you can’t make an appointment with nature and also we didn’t see the family of elephants until we were nearly at the end of the trip and if I hadn’t seen them I was ok with that as they would have been happy in their own space somewhere in the park! Also I like that the tours HAVE to stick to the roadways within the park and not go off road as that would be unfair for the animals who need to have peace within their home always. Lastly I would say to people that if you only focus on seeing a leopard or elephant then you will miss out on all the other amazing landscape, flowers, birds and other animals..enjoy all that Yala has to offer.
Thanks again to Lakshan..I recommend this company 100%

An incredible safari... - An incredible safari seeing deer, lizards, birds, water buffalos, crocodiles, monkeys, elephants, and even leopards! The driver Dilanka was very helpful and patient. The provided breakfast and lunch were delicious and the pickup was on time. Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

Outstanding Safari Guide – Nuwan - Nuwan was a wonderful guide. He took great care of us and did everything possible to help us see all the animals, always respecting both the wildlife and the other vehicles in the more crowded areas. Unlike some other jeeps we saw, who only cared about themselves and did not respect the animals’ space.
Please congratulate him on our behalf, as he is an exceptional guide.

Incredible Wildlife Safari – Highly Recommended - Our safari with Dilanka was truly unforgettable. Thanks to his incredible engagement and determination, we saw four leopards, several families of elephants, and encountered elephants three different times during the drive. We honestly managed to see almost all the animals that live in the park. Dilanka was constantly searching, observing, and adjusting the route to give us the best possible experience. You can feel his passion and respect for wildlife. I highly recommend him as a safari guide.

Incredible Wildlife Adventure with Friendly Guide - It was an amazing experience with a very friendly driver. We saw incredible wildlife — including two leopards! It was so cool that the driver was just as excited as we were. We also enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch in a truly beautiful spot for a rest.

Amazing Evening - What a day to remember!
Our driver Lakshan was incredibly knowledgeable and did everything he could to help us spot a leopard (which we did).
I would definitely recommend, the safari is great even if you don’t manage to catch a glimpse of the leopard.
Ask for Lakshan!

Rude driver, poor service poor experience… - Vehicle and weather good. Tour was described as Max six people in a vehicle and we had seven no spare seats so guide was in with driver. A request for toilet by another person and they were told 15 mins but the driver and guide then ate the remains of the breakfast provided for the people on tour in cab and then took a further 40 minutes before arriving at a toilet facility. This tour is heavily sold on seeing leopards and elephants. After an approximately 50 mins drive to park entrance and pick up at 4.30am ( no problem with this but it can be chilly. I think they should tell people to bring a jumper ) but our driver spent a lot of his time on his mobile phone drove slowly and an abundance of other vehicles overtook us (as a guide about 15 on the way). We then stopped so he could get the tickets Please note you only pay for the vehicle and driver as a Guide UKP £15 for a morning drive. It is a further.12,000sr (UKP approx 30) to enter the park in addition. If you do a separate tour on the same day i.e. a morning then later and afternoon drive you pay this twice. We did not enter the park until 6:30 am by which time it was light. We then joined a queue for 30 minutes as apparently there was a leopard. Obviously happily waited in a very long queue on that basis. The tour was described as providing binoculars. There were only two for seven of us. We were only given a limited two minutes when we finally had our turn to look at the leopard which was so far away you could only see if you had binoculars and I never got an Opportunity. I saw a smudge approximately 300 m away on the top of a rock and I have the latest iPhone 17 pro which has incredible zoom I’ve added my best shot and I’m renowned for my photography.Never saw another leopard after that. Having been on eight Safari’s across various countries including one up near Sigiriya I can honestly say this was the worst. We saw approximately five elephants, one of which was at the same distance as the leopard so didn’t even bother to try and get a picture. Many of the birds they pointed out you can freely see if you walk around the lake in Tissa as monkeys are around too . Highly recommend you do because you can also see water buffalo and the most amazing fruit bats by the hundreds hanging in the trees all for nothing..
Driver asked if we were happy. I said no he asked me why so I explained and he then became aggressive and rude and told me I should go on a private tour. This indicates you would see something different. You won’t you go on the same route irrespective it’s just there are less people in the vehicle. All of the above can be supported by my photos as they have times. As I say, my issue is not to the vehicle or the weather or even the guide who did explain when he possibly could, but please don’t sell a tour heavily on leopards and elephants, as they did , as they have a leopard for their logo and use it as a reference . If the likelihood is you won’t see one clearly by honest . I’m sure they will say every day is different and I expect that is true but I can only compare it with my other experience in this country and others and maybe other people are just happy to accept anything but I did not think I got value for money. I certainly felt the driver was rude and disrespectful to a solo older female traveller. He told us at the beginning to knock on the window if we wanted to ask anything or for them to stop. One of the people on the tour spotted a jackal and several other birds and small mammals which they missed and when I knocked to ask the driver to stop he told me to do so slowly. I tapped the window slowly to check that was how he wanted me to do it and he said if I broke the window, I would pay for it. I’m a 60-year-old woman, not a 25 year-old bodybuilder with a knuckle duster. It just felt like a bus trip where they just went round in a circle. They may say they were on theirphones to find out where animals were but as they stopped and kept talking to other drivers I don’t think this was the case at all. It was interesting to also note a vehicle consistently was driving in the opposite direction to virtually every other vehicle in the park. Maybe they had better viewings because they knew where they were going. Also, the driver made it difficult to take pictures or videos because quite often the vehicle remained running which made it hard for cameras to be still to get a good focus, especially for those at a distance. My videos constantly have the vehicle engine running in the background.I have
Most people thought what I felt but would not say what I am saying because they are too polite. I think they rely on that a lot a they get out of jail free card please feel free to look at all of my other posts you will find that I am fair and happy to provide good positive feedback for good service and good value. The couple who were with me booked for the following morning got up and waiting for 45 minutes and they didn’t even come and collect them say no more.!!!
