Awesome Harbor Tour of Hamburg (Close-Up) - This was a great tour of some rather narrow canals in Hamburg Harbor. Also included was some VERY close up tour stops along some giant container ships (actually being loaded during our tour) and along side of some interesting dry docks. Two notes about the tour - (1) the Departure Point is a little unclear…It is listed as follows: “Please go down the Überseebrücke. On the left side is your ship, which you can use to start the harbor tour.” Actually, you need to turn left twice, and take the pier back towards the northwest to the 2nd intersecting pier. Here, there will be a long flag hanging on a post on the pier at the intersection, and the barge will say “Rainer Abicht Elbreederei GmbH & Co. KG” on the side. (2) Be sure to ask about any audio-supported language translations that you need. The entire tour is given in German.

Everything you need to see from the water in Hamburg. - Very nice harbour tour with Speicherstadt. We really liked the personal explanation of the sights and things during the tour from the captain - told with wit and many interesting facts.

A beautiful experience - A nice opportunity to see the Speicherstadt from a different perspective. The captain gave interesting insights and information in an entertaining way. The trip past the large ships in the harbour was also very impressive. Dressed warmly and with a drink to match, the trip was entertaining on deck in December.

A fantastic trip if you understand German - Full 90 minutes packed with interesting facts, funny anecdotes and thought provoking insights about the city and it's history. The capetain/guide has a unique presentation style that would fit to stand-up comedy and business presentation equally. For the passengers not understaning the language, the experience will still be amazing due to the spectaculary visual nature of the trip. If you have luck to take this boat trip on a sunny day, then all of what I wrote gets multiplied by 2x.

Only German speakers should go, but then it is quite good. Beware if it's ebb or flood, it changes the route. - Through this app I had the option to choose english tour. But that was false advertising. Kevin only spoke German, and although I understood around 40% I actually had an okay time. Most of his, for a German, funny jokes landed with me. And judging by the rest of the guests, he was quite funny even when it didn't land for me. Also, the tour was for a part of the harbor not available during high tide, so we did a different route than advertised. Overall, a good tour, even if it wasn't what I ordered.

Short but educational excursion..into the interior of a steel monster. - Expert and good leadership. I liked the trip into the narrow and dangerous submarine everyday life.Is highly recommended for history enthusiasts.

Conned with ticket and no English - Booked the cruise expecting it to be the paddle steamer as we had asked this, when we arrived we were told it didn’t run in the day we had booked it. We had booked in the little shop (see photo) the man wasn’t bothered when I went back to say it was false information and it was never running. The tour was ok but obviously in German and we weren’t offered any translation etc. Did see a lot from the water and it was a sunny day. Enjoyable trip though.
