- Rano Raraku - This is the island’s sole volcanic cone tuff quarry. This material enabled the large-scale construction of the moai. Rano Raraku contains the quarry where the moai were crafted and from which they were transported to the island’s ahu (ceremonial platforms).
- Ahu Tongariki - Positioned opposite Rano Raraku, this is the largest of all the reconstructed platforms on the island. Ahu Tongariki is the most impressive moai platform on the island, featuring fifteen standing statues that gaze over the island with their backs to the Pacific Ocean.
- Ahu Te Pito Kura - Measuring 11 meters in length and weighing approximately 90 tons, this site features the largest moai transported from Rano Raraku: Ahu o Paro. Nearby, the renowned rounded stone known as Te Pito ‘o te Henua can be found, which, according to tradition, was brought to the island by the ancestors.
- Anakena Beach - Known for its warm turquoise waters and coral sand, this is the island’s main beach and was once the ancestral home of the Miru Araki royal family. The ahu Nau Nau is one of the island’s most refined ahu, noted for the sophistication of its moai.
