Rano Kau - Explore one of Rapa Nui’s three main volcanoes. Its vast crater, over a kilometer in diameter, is filled with a lagoon and totoras (water plants), creating a distinctive landscape.

Orongo - Situated atop Rano Kau, this was a significant ceremonial center where the bird man competition (Tangata Manu) took place. Petroglyphs depicting birds and deities, along with semicircular stone houses used by competitors and priests, are preserved here.

Ahu Vinapu - Discover a captivating archaeological site, notable for its walls that exhibit a construction style remarkably similar to pre-Inca cultures on the continent. The stone blocks fit together with remarkable precision, sparking mystery and debate among archaeologists.

Ahu Akivi - The only ahu with moai facing the sea, as most face inland. There are seven moai, identical in size and shape, perfectly aligned. They are believed to represent the seven explorers sent by the legendary king Hotu Matu’a before the island’s colonization.

Ana Te Pahu - Known as the “Cave of Bananas,” it is the largest cave on the island. Inside, plants such as bananas, sugar canes, and sweet potatoes grow, as it was used as an underground garden due to the humidity and protection it provided. It also served as a wartime refuge.

Ahu Tongariki - Before dawn, travel to the South East Coast to the ceremonial platform Ahu Tongariki, one of the island’s most stunning locations. Here, the island’s culture and mysticism converge.
