Great Experience - We had a wonderful time at the pools. We opted to pay for an hour in the private pool which was really worth it, however the other pools were great and we enjoyed the different temperatures . Met some interesting people too The facilities are great with changing rooms and lockers to hire should you need. There is a restaurant but we did not go there. We took the day pass so that we could go back in later n the day. Highly recommend this outing

If only Canada could - This is such a neat place! Water slides, lazy river, hot mineral pools. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on a Monday and now are totally relaxed. Highly recommend.

Great time for the family! - Great experience! There are a lot of different pools to choose from, we have small children so we spent our time in the child’s area and “rock streams “ but it was enjoyable for all. They also have family changing areas which were very helpful. There are a lot of staff present even on a slower day which was great to see.

Relaxing afternoon in the sun - Our visit to Hanmer Springs gave us the perfect chance to relax after our travels around South Island. The weather was hot so we sought some of the shady spots. We spent two hours there and it is worth knowing for a small additional amount you can add a private spa session, sauna or steam. Lockers available for a few dollars to keep your stuff safe

Hot hot hot! - A great day out with a large number of pools from freshwater with slides and calm hot 38-40 degree sulphur pools. Easy check in and totally smoke free. Tea kiosk reasonably priced. Clean and spacious changing rooms and showers.

plenty of room even in high season but better on a cooler day - I was surprised that there was no recommendation to take a shower before going into the pools and I did not see the showers but it is recommended to use suntan oil. There were people going into the pools with their - it looked - everyday clothes on. So, I am wondering about the hygiene. I was there on a Saturday afternoon in February but I could always find a spot in the pools in the shade. The pool area for the children and the slides were very busy, so I did not go there. It is not the best idea to go on a hot day, but in colder weather it would be lovely. Still, I enjoyed it especially the aquaTherapy pools, the cascade pools where you could cool off in between and the rock pools. As I am over 60 it was very cheap for me and I could hire a locker for all my stuff.

Private hit pools - give them a miss - The private hot pools are in an enclosed room so it’s like sitting in a hot pool in a sauna. Sooo hot. There are little vents you can open in the walls but they don’t really do much. The private pools would be much nicer if they were in open rooms.
