Itinerary

9:30 AM: Pick-up at the shop – Authentic Bat Trang in Hanoi’s Old Quarter – 62 Hang Hom, followed by a transfer to Bat Trang Ceramics Village.

Bat Trang is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Hanoi’s center, and the journey takes about 40 minutes.

10:15 AM: Arrival at Bat Trang Village and transfer to the first factory, the GLAZE FACTORY. Here, visitors will observe the process of making and firing products, learn about different clays, glazes, and the glazing process. The processing stages include clay preparation, working, drying, firing, glazing, and final firing.

11:15 AM: After visiting the glaze factory, the tour proceeds to the oldest kiln in Bat Trang Ceramics Village – a 200-year-old kiln that uses wood for firing, known as LÒ BẦU CỔ. Visitors can explore inside the kiln and discover its unique features.

12:00 PM: Lunch with traditional Vietnamese cuisine in Bat Trang.

12:45 PM: After lunch, the tour continues to the Bat Trang ancient area. Behind the bustling area lies a quiet village with old houses and narrow streets. (Without a tour guide, it is easy to get lost here.)

2:00 PM: Transfer to another factory, the HAND MADE AND HAND PAINTED FACTORY. Here, all ceramics are crafted by hand. Visitors can also learn to make products on the wheels, with a short pottery ceramics class available.

4:00 PM: Transfer back to Hanoi.

4:45 PM: Drop-off at the Authentic Bat Trang shop in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
