Quan Ba Heaven Gate - After obtaining permits from the immigration office in Ha Giang, travelers will be guided through a series of breathtaking passes with stunning views until reaching the mountain town of Tam Son for lunch.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate is a must-visit tourist destination in Ha Giang, the first land of the country. Also known as Quan Ba Pass, it is located in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province, Vietnam.
Standing at over 1500m and approximately 43km from Ha Giang city, this location marks the beginning of the famous “Road of Happiness” and serves as the first gateway to the Dong Van Ky rock plateau.
Dinh Vua Meo - After lunch, guests will visit the H’mong palace, once owned by the “King of the H’mong” and designed by French and Chinese architects, resulting in a unique blend of styles. The palace was historically used to store opium and weapons but was abandoned in the 1950s, with the family descendants now residing in France and Canada. Following the palace visit, the journey continues to Dong Van, arriving at 18:00, where dinner and an overnight hotel stay await.
Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B, L, D)
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - If the day is a Sunday, guests will visit the weekly Dong Van Market after breakfast. Here, they can engage with locals, learn about their culture and traditions, and shop for souvenirs from the vibrant array of goods available.
Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark is located in the northeastern province of Ha Giang, a mountainous region in the far north of Vietnam. The area is predominantly limestone (about 60%), featuring spectacular and unique landscapes with high mountains and deep canyons. The highest peak is Mieu Vac Mount (1971m), while Tu San is the deepest canyon (700-800 m deep).
Ma Pi Leng Pass - The journey continues with a trek to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890, situated on a hill above the town. After exploring the fortress, the route proceeds through the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass, considered one of Vietnam’s most beautiful natural sites. The descent into Meo Vac Valley follows for lunch, before returning to Ha Giang Town for an overnight hotel stay.
