You will also see Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969, preserved to showcase his modest lifestyle. Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, a renowned symbol of Hanoi, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and considered one of Asia’s most unique architectural structures.

12:30-12:45: Enjoy a Vietnamese cuisine lunch at our luxury restaurant, “Mesdames Linh.” - Temple of Literature & National University - 13:45 – 14:00 – Continue the tour with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university. Founded in 1070 during Emperor Ly Thanh Tong’s reign, the temple was dedicated to Confucius, sages, and scholars. It later became the Imperial Academy, fostering many of Vietnam’s greatest minds. Today, the Temple of Literature stands as a testament to the country’s rich educational tradition and reverence for learning.
- Hoa Lo Prison - 15:00 – Proceed with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, originally constructed by the French between 1886 and 1901 when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. Known to the French as Maison Centrale, the prison initially held Vietnamese political prisoners who opposed colonial rule. During the Vietnam War (1964–1973), it was used by North Vietnam to detain American prisoners of war. Today, Hoa Lo Prison is a historical site, providing a poignant insight into the country’s turbulent history and the resilience of its people.
