The Old Quarter has existed since the 11th century, when Hanoi (then known as Thăng Long) became the capital. There were 36 Craft Streets, each with its own story, named after the goods once produced or sold there: Hàng Bạc (Silver), Hàng Gai (Silk), Hàng Mã (Paper Offerings), and more. Walking through these streets is like traversing chapters of Hanoi’s merchant history. The Old Quarter is the heart of Hanoi’s cuisine: by joining this walking street food tour, participants can try Phở, Bún Chả, Egg Coffee, Sticky Rice, Bánh Mỳ, and more (from 6-7 dishes/drinks) at family-run restaurants that have been passed down for generations. Incredible Tour for our family - We had an amazing time on our food tour! The Train St visit was exeptional, great seats and view. We felt we were able to ask any questions we needed and learnt a lot about Hanoi.
Got some great food recommendations and they were very accommodating to our small children, taking longer stops or getting different foods such as local icecreams and smoothies. Easy to communicate via Whatsapp and prompt pick up from our hotel. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Service – Jenny from the Blog is a True Gem - Jenny from the Blog was absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly attentive, helpful, and has excellent knowledge of Vietnam. Communication was seamless from start to finish — she replied quickly to all messages and requests and made the entire planning process stress-free.
We did an amazing walking food tour with Jenny, which was a real highlight of our trip. She introduced us to incredible local dishes and took us to authentic spots where locals actually eat. Her food suggestions throughout our stay were spot-on and allowed us to experience Hanoi like a local rather than a tourist.
Jenny also organised a wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip to Sapa for my husband and I. Everything was perfectly arranged, and we were lucky to have an amazing guide named Pham, who made the experience even more memorable.

Excellent personalized tour - We went on two tours with Trung. He did an excellent job. The first was an evening food tour. There was no shortage of food. He kept asking if we wanted to try. We tried EVERYTHING and it was all delicious. From eggs with ducks inside, worm pancakes, bun cho, coffee, shrimp cakes, spring rolls, fruits, banh mi, beer with peanuts, and beverages. He reserved a spot on train street for us to have a good view. There was so much food I do not even remember everything. The second tour was a city and food tour. Again no shortage of food and Trung was extremely informative. He showed us pagodas, rivers, bridges, statues, parks and city buildings, He taught us about the different neighborhoods and what the name of the streets were before and what they sell today. Trung has a great personality. He is honest and patient. He was with us all day feel. 9am to 5 pm. We walked over 9 miles but could have stopped when ever we wanted. He was excellent and he provided exactly what we were looking for. If you want a personalized experience I would highly suggest you contact Jenny.

Highly recommended - Jenny planned the itinerary, accommodation, tours, and transfers for our 15 night trip. She was absolutely incredible and I can't recommend her services highly enough. Jenny made our trip so much less stressful and was happy to work within our budget to ensure we experienced the things we hoped to. Jenny was also helpful when needing to make last minute changes due to flight cancellations at the end of our trip. Jenny was very responsive and helpful throughout the trip. Coffee and noodle fueled travel - We recently explored Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh, and Jenny took care of everything - from hotel bookings to airport transfers and itinerary planning. Her services were top-notch, and we got great value for our money. The walking food tour was a highlight, and I was impressed that the food and coffee were included in the package. We visited amazing spots, and Jenny even gave us a bag of snacks and coffee along the way. I highly recommend her services, and I'd definitely book with her again if I visit Central or South Vietnam.

Jenny's Magical Vietnam Tour - Don't miss it - Jenny's walking tour of street food in Hanoi was MAGICAL. She showed us her city, the markets, the old quarter and train street like she was introducing us to her best friends - it was that warm and personal.
We ate 4 amazing meals in the 5 hours we were together, we drank hand-poured salt coffee (delightfully delicious) and enjoyed Hanoi Beers on Train Street (a scary-fun experience!) She shared with us history, culture, religion, politics... and food.
Jenny also helped us PLAN our trip, including: Amazing Cooking classes, an Incredible Lantern Boat ride in HoiAn, an Exhilarating Scooter food tour in Saigon, an Enchanting 2-night cruise on Halong Bay, a Mekong Delta floating market and glorious homestay expedition, Incredible Basket boat adventure, Magical Ninh Binh excursion...And she arranged all in-country transfers which was SO VERY HELPFUL Jenny went out of her way to help us get our VISAs expedited, SIM cards activated and money exchanged at the best rates. We couldn't have enjoyed our vacation as well without her help. Thank you, Jenny! We will be back.
