Explore life under the planned economy, the experiences of local people from both the North and the South, and the tale of Vietnam’s unification—a nation once split between communism and anti-communism, teetering on the edge of the Cold War.
This “stroll” will take approximately 2.5 hours, including a brief taxi ride midway. The purpose of this walk is to reveal unique areas of Hanoi, away from the typical tourist paths, highlighting aspects of the city’s rich history often overlooked by guidebooks. It offers detailed insights (history enthusiasts are welcome) in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. It’s more of a conversation than a lecture!
