• Old Quarter - Guests will be picked up from hotels in the Hanoi Old Quarter Area. Please be prepared in the hotel lobby, as the guide will check in with the receptionist for the tour to Mai Chau. The drive to Mai Chau takes approximately 4 hours.
• Thung Khe Pass - As you travel along the winding, silk-like pass, you’ll witness the living spaces of the local Muong and Thai communities nestled between the valleys and mountains. Stop at the top of Thung Khe Pass to enjoy the panoramic view of Mai Chau Valley. A visit to the temporary local market, where Muong ethnic products are sold, will surely captivate your interest.
• Mai Chau - Enjoy lunch (vegetarian options available). Embark on a cycling tour through a picturesque valley filled with fresh air, visiting a typical Thai ethnic village. Explore their traditional houses and learn about the intricate process of weaving traditional fabrics and brocade products, which require significant time to complete. Mai Chau is a rural district in Hoa Binh province, located in the northwestern region of Vietnam, about 160 km from Hanoi. The area’s stunning scenery attracts many tourists. Mai Chau is renowned for its stilt houses, known as Thai stilt houses, constructed from bamboo and timber. These houses are elevated 10–12 feet off the ground to prevent water damage and provide shelter for animals.
