Didn’t Think I’d Ride Again… But Here I Am - I recently moved to Tay Ho for a long stay, and honestly, the idea of getting back on a bike made me tense. I’d had a couple of pretty rough experiences in Thailand, so finding out that riding is basically a daily necessity here didn’t exactly calm my nerves. Chicks n Bikes changed that for me. They didn’t brush off my worries, but actually more than ready to acknowledge them, which helped more than I expected.
Thao was my instructor, and his calm energy made a big difference. We took our time with the basics before heading onto the road. Once we were out there, it turned out to be way less overwhelming than I had imagined. He kept things steady, explained everything clearly, and checked in the whole time.
If you’re uneasy about riding or just need a confidence boost, I’d really suggest booking a lesson. Even if you’re only in Hanoi for a short visit, it’s a surprisingly fun way to get comfortable with the city.

I Felt So Safe and Supported - I’m really happy I went with this company. Everything was straightforward, relaxed, and they made sure I had what I needed. I was especially lucky to get Mia as my instructor, she’s super patient, calm, and actually shows you what to do instead of just telling you. She answered every question, gave small but super helpful corrections, and always checked in to make sure I felt safe and comfortable.

Thao - With no experience even driving a bicycle, Thao was able to show me how to ride one, I was able to rent my own bike within a couple of weeks. Could not recommend enough. Even without any experience they will have you ready in no time.

Patient, Supportive, and Truly Empowering Lessons! - This review for Chicks n Bikes is long overdue! I was a complete beginner and honestly quite nervous at first, but the instructors were incredible!!! They're extremely supportive, patient, and full of helpful feedback that made me improve so much with every lesson. We started in an empty lot, which helped me feel comfortable getting used to the bike. By my last session, I was confidently riding behind my instructor through Hanoi’s rush-hour traffic! I’d 100% come back to Chicks n Bikes to keep building my skills and highly recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to ride with confidence.

If you’ve ever wanted to try riding but hesitated, this is your sign - I had a bad experience with riding years ago, but Mia completely changed that. She was calm, patient, and gave just the right push when I needed it. Before I knew it, I was turning, riding with confidence, and actually enjoying it!
The whole Chicks n Bikes team brings such good energy. They make you believe you can do it.

The best skill I learn this year is to learn how to ride motorbike - Thao and Duy Anh taught me with so much patience and detailed instruction. They knew exactly when to guide and when to let me try on my own.
What I loved most is that it wasn’t just about learning to ride, it was also about understanding Hanoi. Thao showed me the rhythm of the roads, the meaning behind the traffic flow, even where to catch the best sunset.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience Hanoi like a local, this is the best way to do it. Highly highly recommend!

From completely beginner to riding through Hanoi traffic - Honestly one of the best things I’ve done in Hanoi. I never thought I’d be able to ride a motorbike, especially in this wild traffic, but Chicks n Bikes team made it feel surprisingly easy and safe.
They are super patient, professional, and really know how to build your confidence. After just a short lesson, everything about the way locals ride suddenly made sense, and it truly felt amazing to be part of it.
If you’ve ever been curious about riding in Vietnam, this is the place to start. Riding here isn’t just transport, thanks to them

If you’re going to do one thing during your stay in Hanoi, do this! - I highly recommend anyone looking to do something fun and immersive without investing half a day sitting on a tour bus (or, anyone feeling scooter FOMO in general) to take a lesson with Chicks n Bikes. This was the most fun thing I did in Hanoi, and I did it on the day I was leaving! Having fallen in love with Vietnam in a few short days, I decided on a whim mid-afternoon the day before that I wanted to give scootering a go and get a taste for what I could expect if I ever return to tour the countryside or do the Ha Giang loop. CnB quickly helped coordinate a next-day morning pickup at my hotel despite the short notice. The private 3.5-hour course I received was exceptional! Instructor Thao had uncommonly great command of English, was thorough in his explanations, was both patient and encouraging, and was a great conversationalist. I had never ridden (let alone drive) a bike or scooter but by the end of the afternoon I was confidently riding around West Lake! What a thrill!

Beware: Too good! - When I started, I knew basics of riding a scooter but never knew there is so much more to it (and more than fear, its fun!) I highly recommend Chicks n Bikes for learning with amazing instructors, have personalised lessons, extremely sweet and courteous staff who is there for you and your endless questions, and getting a tour of Hanoi. They are one of the best out there for learning how to drive - a skill which you really need if traveling across Vietnam, Laos, and South-East Asia overall. My instructors were extremely kind and patient, wonderful people who knew driving and knew how to teach well! That too, in 2 hour lessons! you learn a life-skill. I wish they taught swimming as well! The only downside of learning with Chicks n Bikes is: you learn and the lessons are over!
