The tour guide will meet the group to begin the Hanoi Old Quarter Walking Tour. The first stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, known as the heart of Hanoi. Visitors can enjoy watching locals engage in activities like playing badminton and exercising. - St. Joseph’s Cathedral - Next, the tour proceeds to St. Joseph’s Cathedral, a prime example of French colonial architecture. Entry is permitted during ceremonial practice hours as follows: Weekdays (5:30 am - 6:15 pm), Saturday (6:00 pm), Sunday (5:00 am, 7:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 8:00 pm).
- Trang Tien Plaza - The tour continues to Trang Tien Ice Cream Shop, where ice cream was first introduced to the Vietnamese by French colonialists in 1958.
- Hanoi Opera House - The next destination is the Opera House, also known as Hilton Opera, completed in 1911 after a decade of construction by French architects Broyer and V. Harley, modeled after the Opéra Garnier de Paris.
- Hoa Lo Prison - The final stop is Hoa Lo Prison, which showcases exhibits related to its use up to the mid-1950s, highlighting the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France.
