The first stop is the Opera House in the French Quarter, where participants will learn about French colonial architecture and Vietnam’s 20th-century history.
2: The Vespa rider will then take the group to the Railway Train Tracks, offering a glimpse into how locals live and work just centimeters from the train tracks in tall, narrow houses.
- Ba Dinh Square - 3: After a short Vespa ride to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the rider will stop at a vantage point to view the area, including the Presidential Palace, Parliament House, and other governmental buildings. The guide will share stories about Hanoi’s past and present.
4: The tour continues to the botanical garden, passing through Small Alley with narrow houses to visit Huu Hiep Lake and see the B52 Crash site. This US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, serving as a poignant historical reminder.
- West Lake - 5: The next ride is to West Lake, one of Hanoi’s largest lakes, offering views of the city, beautiful houses, and the area where the upper class resides.
6: Traveling along Thanh Nien Street next to West Lake, the tour stops at Truc Bach Lake to see the Monument of John McCain and learn about his story.
7: The Vespa ride continues around West Lake, providing panoramic views of Hanoi. The tour will stop to visit the famous Phu Tay Ho temple.
- Phu Tay Ho - 8: The ride along the lakeside offers a chance to see flower farms, with lotus flowers in summer and various blooms in winter. Nearby, two dragon tails, built in 2010, symbolize Hanoi city.
9: The tour proceeds to Van Nien Pagoda, one of Hanoi’s oldest, built in 1010 by King Ly Cong Uan. Participants can admire its architecture and learn its history from the guide.
10: After a long ride and many activities, it’s time to relax and enjoy a Vietnamese coffee, including the famous Egg Coffee in Hanoi.
- Long Bien Bridge - 11: The final destination is the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure over a hundred years old, spanning the Red River and connecting the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts, providing shelter to locals living on boats below.
12: The tour concludes with a Vespa ride back to a local restaurant to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. After lunch, the Vespa team will return participants to their hotel or any desired location. Just inform the tour guide of the destination!
