Old Quarter - 07:15 AM – 7:45 AM: The guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the Hanoi Old Quarter Area, then head to Ninh Binh for a 2-hour drive, including a short break along the way.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Explore Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. This is an opportunity to delve into Vietnamese history during the feudal era under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties. Hoa Lu is a major attraction in Ninh Binh, part of the National Heritage Complex and one of the four core areas of the UNESCO-recognized Trang An World Heritage Complex. The historical site spans 13.87 square kilometers in Ninh Binh. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of Hoa Lu, the first capital of Vietnam, associated with the victories of the Dinh, Pre-Le, and early Ly dynasties.
Tam Coc - Enjoy lunch at a restaurant featuring a variety of local dishes. Afterward, continue to Tam Coc by bamboo boat. The enchanting beauty of the area, with its paddy fields, river, water, clouds, sky, and stunning cave system, is often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land.” The tour continues with a cycling trip around the village to experience local life.
You’ll peacefully navigate between lush fields and dramatic karsts, typically stopping at the three caves that ‘Tam Coc’ refers to: Ca, Hai, and Ba. The scenery is particularly breathtaking during the rice harvest season when the rice turns golden.
Mua Caves - The final stop is Mua Cave, often compared to the “Great Wall of China.” Climb 500 steps to the top of Mua Cave for a splendid view of Ninh Binh and a panoramic view of Tam Coc. After ascending 500 stone steps to the scenic overlook atop Ngoa Long Mountain, travelers are rewarded with a stunning panorama of the Ngo Dong River and the paddy fields below. Along the ascent, there are several worship sites, offering a glimpse into Vietnam’s rich Buddhist heritage.
Ninh Binh - At the end of the day, guests will be taken directly to a Bungalow for check-in, followed by dinner at the bungalow’s restaurant. Enjoy free time to relax and observe local life in the village. Overnight stay in a bungalow/homestay in Ninh Binh.
Ninh Binh to Halong Bay Day Cruise - Hanoi (End Tour) (B/L)
Tam Coc - 6:45 - 7:00: After breakfast, check out from your Bungalow/Homestay. A shared limousine bus will pick you up from your accommodation in Ninh Binh and transfer you to Halong Bay for a Day Cruise (No guide during transfer) (Approximately 4 to 4.5 hours drive to Halong Bay).
Halong Bay - Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina in Halong Bay between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Relax in the cruise’s lounge while waiting for the group and guide from Hanoi. The tour guide will meet you at Tuan Chau Harbor, welcome you aboard the cruise, and provide a safety briefing. The cruise will take you on a 6-hour journey along a 2-day sleeper boat cruise route, renowned for its striking passages and uninhabited islets with imaginative names given by locals. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on board. The cruise offers a Sunset Party while returning to Tuan Chau harbor. There is ample time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow travelers amidst iconic natural scenery. Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor.
Sung Sot Cave - Visit Sung Sot Cave to admire stalactites, stalagmites, and karst formations. Located on Bo Hon Island, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage area, Sung Sot Cave is one of the largest and most impressive caves, covering around 10,000 square meters and extending over 200 meters in length. The widest area inside the cave is about 80 meters. Sung Sot Cave was first explored by a group of French tourists who were so amazed by its beauty that they named it “Grotte des surprises” – the cave of surprise. Since then, it has been known as Surprising Cave or Amazing Cave.
Hang Luon Cave - Stop at Luon Cave for kayaking or a bamboo boat ride. Luon Cave is a tunnel-like cave, 100 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 3 meters high. Although not large compared to other caves in Halong Bay, Luon Cave is unique and filled with mystery. Situated at the base of an imposing mountain, visitors must pass under the mountain by boat to reach the other side of the island, hence the name “Luon Cave.”
Ti Top Island - Ti Top Island is renowned for its enchanting scenery and pleasant weather, making Ti Top Beach a must-visit destination for those exploring Halong Bay, especially nature lovers. Ti Top Island is a popular choice for tourists on Halong Bay tours due to its ideal location.
