At okeikoJapan, participants have the unique opportunity to learn how amulets are crafted and create their own one-of-a-kind amulet. Additionally, they will be introduced to the fundamental etiquette observed in temples.
Participants can select an amulet case and string that suit their preferences. These cases are crafted from old kimonos that are no longer worn. Wishes can be written or stamped onto a mini Shamoji (rice scoop), a specialty item from Miyajima. All components are then assembled to create the amulet.
Our location is slightly removed from the main tourist areas, allowing everyone to enjoy the serene and tranquil atmosphere of the temple, which is beautifully surrounded by nature.
