A wonderful day - The trip was excellent, we were met at the ferry terminal the tour guide was excellent. The walk to the farmers cabin was a little tricky as I have limited mobility and the terrain was quite difficult and slippy. But i took my time and managed okay. The farmer was very funny and the Apple cake was awesome. A much more enjoyable experience than I initially expected.

One of our favourite memories from Norway! - Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Jason and the team for an amazing visit to the farm, the delicious apple pie and lovely tour of the cabin and surrounding areas. From the get-go, we felt so welcomed by the team-- even if our group was very slow on the hike! Jason was so patient, kind and friendly- without him, I don't think our parents could have finished the hike. Thank you again for an amazing experience in Haugesund. We highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to enjoy Haugesund on a more local level!

Excellent even if it was more tricky than expected. - Awesome, guide was excellent, Farmer was funny. Bit of a trek over slightly dodgey terrain for myself with limited mobility only downside. That said we all really enjoyed it (even myself with a slightly sore hip.)

A great slice of Norwegian culture in a fun day tour - A beautiful trip up to the stunning countryside just outside Haguesund. Our tour started with a drive through the centre passing some of the important buildings and locations.
Our first stop was at the scenic viewpoint where we had time to enjoy the view before we started the walk to the charming wooden house at Kringsjåhytta. The walk was only a couple of kilometres but did include some uneven ground, steps and inclines so wear footwear that is suitable for this. Our host at Kringsjåhytta was Tom - the star of the tour - who joyfully and proudly explains the history of the location and the work that has been completed to restore the buildings to their original appearance. We enjoyed coffee and apple cake on the sunny terrace with views down to Haguesund. We loved feeding the sheep and playing fetch with Lissie the sheepdog. A wonderful experience and one that was great fun and enhanced by the small group size. We then walked back along the scenic path the meet our driver.
Our last stop was at The Rising Tide horse statues and national monument of Haraldshaugen which were both very impressive to see. This was a perfect trip and our guide Jason helped make sure everyone made the most of their time on the tour.

Beautiful scenery with lots of Norwegian heart - We visited Kringsjå seter today as part of a Viator trip from the MSC cruise ship, and it was a truly unforgettable experience that captured the very heart of Norway. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality from Tom and his small team was filled with warmth and sincerity. Tom shared tales, old and new, his pride and passion shining through with every story. We enjoyed a delicious slice of homemade apple cake while soaking in the far reaching views of the stunning Norwegian landscape. Then, walking alongside him and his wonderful border collie, we fed the sheep and listened to captivating tales of ancient Norse history and what it means to be Norwegian.
This visit blended breathtaking scenery, rich storytelling, and genuine warmth in a way that felt authentic and personal. It was far more than just a stop on a tour, it was an experience to treasure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a true taste of Norwegian culture and hospitality.

Amazing visit - We had an amazing walk up to the farm. Tom the local farmer explained the history if the cabin, how the children visited and built it. We had delicious apple pie with a cup of coffee. Tom had lots of stories to tell us about hus digs, stuffed birds, the local children etc. He accommodates pupils from the local high school once a week. Small group of 5 special needs children. They shop at the local market hike up the steep hill, cook in Tom's kitchen. Learn, play and engage with nature, then eat. What a wonderful place to engage people.

Incredible day touring from Haugesund - We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide was very informative and everyone (from age 5 to 77) enjoyed the entirety of the tour. The highlight was Kringsjå farm and the amazing host. The stories, apple cake, and feeding the sheep were all incredible — plus, our host reminded me of a young version of my (Norwegian) grandfather, which made the visit all the more special. Go! You won’t regret it.

Scenic tour with a difference - It was a wonderful experience although people should be made aware that the walk to the farm is quite tricky . A bit steep and slippery for those that are not very agile. But well worth it. Farmer Tom was very informative and amusing. We were celebrating our cousins 80th bday and he came out singing to her when we were having the tea with the best apple pie I’ve ever tasted. Feeding the sheep was a lot of fun. And I loved the sculptures of the men on horseback .

Terrific short excursion with knowledgeable local guides - A lovely small group (15) adventure with local guides through the countryside. A hike (about 1 km roundtrip) up the hill to a farm to hear about the area, eat some delicious apple pie, and feed the sheep and goats. Stops also included short visits to the national monument and intriguing life-size sculptures called Rising Tides.
