Commencing in Cardiff, this exclusive tour will guide you through Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales’ second-largest National Park, en route to Hay-on-Wye. Known as “The Town of Books,” it boasts the highest concentration of bookstores per square mile globally, offering bibliophiles hours to explore its diverse and unique bookshops.

After rejoining your driver, the journey continues up Gospel Pass, the highest road in Wales. Near the summit, you’ll pause to admire the breathtaking views. On a clear day, the panorama extends across Bannau Brycheiniog and into Mid Wales, with the Cambria Mountains visible in the distance.

The tour concludes with a scenic drive through more of the national park and a leisurely walk along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal before returning to Cardiff.

• The walk along the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal Path is approximately 2 miles. The path is flat, well maintained and largely gravel
