If you haven't been to Port Steven's - We had a fantastic day exploring Port Stephens, with stunning scenery, a fun sandboarding session on the dunes, and a visit to a heartwarming koala hospital where we learned about conservation efforts. Although we only spotted one dolphin during the cruise, the experience was still beautiful and relaxing. Lunch was a highlight too — some of the best fish and chips we've ever had! A big thanks to our guide Gordon, who took excellent care of us throughout the day with warmth, knowledge, and genuine hospitality.

As above. - Gordon was really talented. He guided the tour in both English and Chinese. Although it was drizzling, we still got to see the dolphins, koalas and go sand boarding. Wish we could have spend more time in each activity especially with the koalas but there were time constraints as we were making a datrip from central Sydney. Once again, Gordon was a good and friendly guide who gave insightful history lessons.

A very worthwhile trip - A very exciting and fulfilling day's journey. We chased dolphins, got to know koalas, and experienced sand skating with Jordon's company. Every part was worth it. The beautiful scenery of Port Stephen is a memory I will never forget.

great tour. maybe bring swimsuit & change of clothes, you never know what you feel like doing when you're there. - great tour. although it was a long bus ride, it was fairly comfortable and had sufficient bathroom stops. We saw dolphins just off the port bow on the boat. there was enough soace on all 3 levels to get a great view. no need to jockey for a spot. The Koala Hospital was great. It's an actual hospital inside with incubators & all. Outside they have resident Koalas that were rescued & aren't well enough to be released back in the wild, but they're living in the ecact environment they'd have in the wild, so it's really cool, and you get to see & observe them. The Fish and chips lunch was realy good on board the boat. Howevwr, I was disappointed as the write uo mentioned an Aussie BBQ lunch which I was looking forward to. We fly out early tomorrow and we hadn't managed an Aussie BBQ at all during our stay. But that was a small matter. I didn't think I'd go sandboarding. I thought I'd watch, but I went after all and had a great time.

Fun, but not worth the price paid. - It was certainly fun, and exactly as advertised, but definitely not worth how much it costs. Dolphin cruise: You catch glimpses of dolphins from afar once in a while and that's about it. 80% of the time you're just staring out at the blue waters and a few islands. You get fish n chips afterwards which was not bad. Koala Sanctuary: extremely small attraction with only 7 Koalas. Catch glimpses of a few sleeping Koalas far high up on the trees and that's about it. Sand dune & 4WD: the 4WD experience is simply driving us from the entrance to the top of the sand dune (lasted 5 mins). Sand dune was fun, but after every slide, you have to climb up again which is very physically exhausting given how steep the Sand are (while carrying the heavy sand board) - but that's the nature of the activity, so it's still acceptable. With the amount of time given for the sand activity, we could probably only slide 5-8 times, which is still decent. But perhaps more time can be given for us to sit down relax and take in the views. 60% of the time was sitting on the bus. Travelling from sydney central to port Stephens is 3h, so that's 6h in total back and forth.

Trip is not fun but tour guide is - The tour is not very interesting. I didn't see much dolphin, and only 8 koala from afar. Sand boarding is fun, but I get all dirty after. I think the activities can be improved. However, the guide / driver Gordon is very helpful and interesting. He talks in 2 languages and taught us about the history of the activities and Australia during the trip, must give him a cookie!
