The Call of the Wild: Setting Out on Safari

As the sun began to rise over the sprawling savannahs of Kruger National Park, I found myself filled with a familiar sense of anticipation. This was not my first safari, but each journey into the wild holds its own unique promise. The thrill of the unknown, the chance to witness nature’s most majestic creatures in their natural habitat, and the opportunity to capture these moments through my lens are what draw me back to Africa time and again. This time, I was embarking on a private safari with Kruger Safari and the renowned Kurt’s Safari team.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Christa, our coordinator, ensured that every detail was meticulously planned, allowing me to focus solely on the adventure ahead. Her dedication to providing a seamless experience was evident, and I felt confident that I was in capable hands. As we set off in our open vehicle, the crisp morning air was filled with the sounds of the bush coming to life, a symphony of bird calls and rustling leaves.

A Dance with the Big Five
