- Hotel Zum Ritter - Built in 1592 by cloth merchant Carolus (Charles) Belier, who fled Habsburg Valenciennes due to his Protestant beliefs, this Renaissance building is the only civic structure that survived the 1693 fire during the War of the Palatine Succession.
- Mittelbadgasse - Named after a public bath, this street featured various bathing rooms popular with soldiers, students, monks, and professors, especially during the Thirty Years’ War. Besides beer, food, and bathing, other services were available.
- Old Bridge (Karl Theodor Bridge) - Constructed in 1788 under Elector Karl Theodore, this sandstone bridge is the ninth on this site and is now one of Heidelberg’s most iconic landmarks.

Grabengasse marks the course of the first city fortification along the square’s western edge.
- Hexenturm - The Witch Tower is the only remaining defensive tower from Heidelberg’s medieval fortifications, now located near the New University. Its name reflects the era of witch persecution.
- St. Peter’s Church (Peterskirche) - As Heidelberg’s oldest church, St. Peter’s was built before the city’s probable founding in 1220 or earlier. A document from 1196 mentions St. Peter, marking the first recorded mention of the village of Heidelberg.

Since 1996 we have been conducting our guided tours in Heidelberg. It all started with a cemetery tour, the “Gothic Heidelberg” scary tour and a guided tour with the medieval castle guard. Meanwhile, there are dozens of topics and a multitude of night watchmen, commissars, executioners and executioners’ daughters who are in no way inferior to the “pioneers” of those days.
