Best experience ever - We joined the 2-day south coast tour by Aurora Hunter. The schedule was well-planned according to the weather. We were able to see everything mentioned in the itinerary and our tour guide Thor even brought us to some amazing photo taking spots on our way back to Reykjavik. He was very funny and helpful. We had so much fun listening to his stories and local music playlist! Also, the breakfast included in the hotel was superb! Highly recommend this tour.

Super duper tour! - What can I say except this is one of the best tours to take in iceland! Our tour guide, Thor, was very knowledgable and made the tour fun for all. The sights are beautiful and your taken to places that not everyone would see. Highly recommend this tour!

An amazing experience - We fully recommend this trip. Those two days were packed with activities and stunning views. Our guide and driver, Sjonni, was very skilled in driving in the always changing Icelandic weather. He was always on time, friendly and informative, adding a great musical selection to the experience.

Couldn't ask for a better guide!! Thank you Thor:D - Thor is seriously the best tour guide ever. He took us to all the locations listed and even
many more extra spots. Very clear explanations about each spots and very friendly. Definitely a trip to remember. Super fun!!!
One story to share here: Me and my friends got a bit clumsy as we accidentally got ourselves wet at the diamond beach. Thor was so nice to help us get back to the van immediately and gave us the new socks he bought at the souvenir shop to make sure we got ourselves dried and warm.
The weather was indeed awful so we were actually a bit disappointed in the beginning but the good weather came when we visited the glacier lagoon and ice cave. We were lucky as the water drained out the day we visit the blue cave so we could get in. The ice cave was magnificent!!!!
Once again thanks for such amazing aurora hunting adventure, Thor:D

Lucky enough to step on this alien land! - Although the weather was windy and rainy, Thor (yeah!!!! we had Thor as our guide!!! to asgard!!lol) made the perfect tour agenda for us! Luck enough to see the northern lights, and visited the glacier cave under sunshine! Super crazy and insanely fun adventure. Hope to have a chance for a northern tour sometime. Thanks for the adventure to this alien land!

Perfect way to see the south coast in one go! - We chose the option '2 Day Winter Tour on a Budget' as it's a bit chaper and it was amazing.
Out guide was a professional photographer and he knew a lot about the places we visited.
We were very lucky as we visited in January and we had sunny days with blue sky, so all the places were even more magical.
It's a must and I would highly recommend it.

A great way to see many things in one go! - I loved it. Our guide took us to all the to p locations and so many off the grid things. It was a lot of snow on the road, so I don't like driving myself, but it was good because thedriver was icelandic and very used to this. And I could also take a lot of pictures. Hotel was also very nice, with good restaurants.

Efficient two-day tour - Besides the main sightseeing spots, they occasionally stop by photo spots. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I knew more English, but I think the instructions, explanations and organizer of the tour in the limited daylight were wonderful. The hotel I stayed in is small but very clean. The whole organisation was really good and the people were soo nice and they try their best to give you unforgettable moments... This local tour company called Aurora Hunters was also polite and very quick to exchange messages.

Trip with Aurora Hunters - We took a tour w Carlos on Aurora Hunters. A few pieces of advice while they grow the business/experience.... More content to entertain and educate the clients. More icelandic history, Stories or sagas, modern culture, climate, economy, etc... this was covered but very little. The drive is very long so the more content built into the tour the better... perhaps reserve 45 minutes for each category.
Another suggestion would be to perhaps incorporate a fun quiz on each subject covered by the driver. This will get the customers more involved and will help “break the ice”
Last suggestion would be to provide a full itinerary on stops along the way. We were confused as to which stops were next and how long it would take to get there.
Having a said all that, Carlos was a great guide and was truly nice to get to know him. That part was great! All the stops along the way we’re also fantastic and we were extremely happy with our experience. Thanks Dragon!

A great tour with a great driver - I really enjoyed this tour, which packed in a lot of sights over two days. It was well organised and most importantly, I felt safe. The guide and driver, Sjonni, was a very competent and experienced driver in the snowy and icy conditions at the end of January, when I took the tour, and I really felt that we were in good hands.
I have no complaints about the tour - it was great: we saw waterfalls, the beautiful black sand beach near Vik, and for me a highlight was the glacier lagoon and diamond beach, which were spectacular.
The trip up the glacier to reach the ice cave was amazing - an experience like no other, and the ice cave itself was indeed blue, but rather small.
The only thing I didn't like about the tour (at first) was some of the Icelandic music Sjonni played in the bus, but strangely enough, since I got home, I've been playing it a lot and really like it now - so it grows on you!
Sjonni was an excellent, very knowledgeable guide and a great driver. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour with Sjonni.
The only criticism I have is not of the tour but the booking company, which seems to have an inflexible booking policy. I booked the tour on the wrong day but when I asked for a refund straight after booking the tour, when I realised my mistake, they said I would lose money. This is stated in their cancellation policy, but I have had a better experience with another tour company when cancelling or re-arranging tours at short notice.
Therefore I had a bad impression of the booking company. If you're booking a tour with this company, make sure you've got the right details and the right date before your book.
