Terrific way to experience much of Iceland. - Our guide Gunnar was terrific. Communication was clear and we stayed on time. He had lots of knowledge and shared fascinating things about Iceland's' history. The Waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs at Glacier Lagoon and Atlantic Puffins were among the highlights.

Fantastic Tour of Iceland with Arctic Adventures - Iceland is amazing and Arctic Adventures provides the perfect tour. This company and its local guides and employees are clearly highly experienced and dedicated to a great tour. My guides, Throstur and Vjeran are the epitome of a perfect guide. They are professional, friendly, well-organized l, and above all, enthusiastic. They kept us on schedule but also made numerous unscheduled stops for photo opportunities and out of the way sites. They always place the customer first. The accommodations were great, ranging from modern hotels to an old farm with rustic rooms! They were all warm and very comfortable and added to the charm of the tour. The group size is small allowing for making friends and having plenty of room on the vans. The vans are new with WiFi and charging stations and BIG windows. I cannot recommend seeing Iceland and traveling with Icelandic Adventured more highly!!! 5/5 Stars!

100% recommended - Diddi was our guide. He's a respectful person, knowledgeable about his country and its history, a great storyteller, punctual, kind, responsible, and has a good sense of humor. He's also a very good driver. He made our experience on our first trip to Iceland completely live up to our expectations. I would definitely book a tour again, especially with Diddi as a guide. 100% recommended.

Wishes came true - This is a trip to remember all your life!! Great experience. I took my son to celebrate his birthday, and he loved it. Every stop was amazing and guided by Diddi we could get the best of all the views and local food. The van is ok, hotel accommodation enough for a night, Iceland itself makes the rest and a plus is a group of friendly people sharing this adventure with you.

Incredible Iceland tour with a brilliant guide - We did a 7-day complete Iceland tour, guided by the incredibly knowledgeable Frey. He kept us entertained, informed, and educated about the wondrous land, providing terrific insights into the history of the country. We also learned so much about the natural wonders, landscape, towns we visited, folklore and food. We also got superb restaurant recommendations. It was a truly amazing experience.

EPIC CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE FOR AUSTRALIAN MOTHER AND DAUGHTER - EPIC!! My daughter & I had the most adventurous, fun, comfortable, warm, interesting exciting WILD time of our lives. 1600klms & 49 hours of driving the ring road of Iceland with our adorable Guide/Driver "YOI". He does have an Icelandic name but I can't remember it - sorry Yoi. Despite the snow, blizzards & road closures/challenges etc. Yoi got us to our destinations safely with his unique Icelandic comic relief. Note the Santa Suit which we could always find him amongst the crowd. The accommodation was warm & comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and the sites just out of this world. The whole landscape was like a movie set - think "Interstellar" or "Game of Thrones" . and YES we saw WHALES! We loved the glaciers, the horse farm, the geothermal baths, the food, everything. Christmas Dinner at The Wilderness Centre was very special. The food was authentic Icelandic Christmas fare & Christmas singing with Yoi, & fellow tour group (maybe it was the delicious Christmas beer which helped make it so special) was unforgettable. OH and the Sauna and outside dip in -10 degrees was pretty unforgettable too! Thank you Yoi for your wonderful guidance and safe handling of us all. You made our Christmas 2024 one of the most memorable times of our lives.

Avoid Arctic Adventures – Deceptive Marketing, Poor Communication, and No Accountability - Iceland is a beautiful country, but I strongly urge you to avoid booking with Arctic Adventures. Our experience with their misleading marketing, poor communication, and refusal to take accountability turned an otherwise great trip into a frustrating ordeal. 1. Inadequate and Misleading Pre-Trip Communication One of the most crucial details when booking a multi-day tour is knowing the exact timing of departures and returns, especially for flight planning. However, Arctic Adventures: - Failed to provide clear, upfront information on our return time from the final day of the tour. The itinerary provided via their booking partner, Guide to Iceland, made it seem like we would be back in Reykjavik much earlier than we actually were. - Did not provide the tour vouchers until just 16 days before the trip (on a Friday evening, no less), making it impossible to make changes before their 14-day cancellation deadline the following Monday. 2. Unfair and Deceptive Cancellation Policy - Despite their vague pre-trip information, Arctic Adventures rigidly enforced their multi-day tour cancellation policy, which was never clearly disclosed before booking. - When I sought a refund for the final day of the tour—after discovering that their unclear itinerary had caused major scheduling conflicts—I was stonewalled, even though I had followed all refund request procedures based on the information they had actually provided on the voucher for the final day's activities. 3. Overpriced, Company-Owned Stops & Hidden Kickbacks While food is not included in the tour price, Arctic Adventures conveniently brings travelers to their own hotels and restaurants, where you’ll pay exorbitant prices for meals. They also seem to have financial arrangements with other overpriced establishments along the route. It's one thing to pay a premium in Iceland, but it’s another to be intentionally funneled into price-gouging locations that benefit the tour operator rather than the customer. 4. An Unqualified Tour Guide While our guide was a kind and friendly person, he was shockingly unprepared for his job. He lacked: - Basic historical knowledge of the places we visited. - Any storytelling ability to bring the experience to life. - Organizational skills, which made the tour feel chaotic and left travelers confused about daily logistics. These are the three fundamental skills a guide should have, and unfortunately, this guide had none of them. Final Verdict For nearly $2,500 per person, I expected a professional, well-run experience. Instead, Arctic Adventures delivered poor communication, deceptive policies, and blatant attempts to squeeze every last dollar out of travelers. Their refusal to acknowledge or compensate for their missteps—despite clear evidence of misleading marketing—shows a complete lack of customer care. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel obligated to warn future travelers: Spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable tour companies in Iceland—Arctic Adventures is not one of them.
