A 5/5 experience - This was an amazing experience. A lot of folks online suggested to do the south coast over the golden circle and they were right. Each stop was unmissable. Some disclaimers though, I would not recommend this for people with any mobility issues or poor fitness. The glacier hike is about 2-3h long, and goes over some slightly challenging terrain. If you do regular moderate hikes and are in generally good health, this is a must do, and won't be a challenge. We had a few folks who were constantly stopping and slowing down due to exhaustion. That being said, this is a must do if you can stand the long day (11h) and with at least 3-4h of walking. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, get gear that won't get soaked (rain shells, waterproof pants), maybe a towel if you do, warm layers, a camera and a good attitude

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience with Einar / Glaciers & Waterfalls – Simply Outstanding! - A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience with Einar – Simply Outstanding! We recently took the waterfalls and glaciers tour of Iceland with Einar, and it was truly the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we were picked up, Einar’s friendliness, professionalism, and deep knowledge of Iceland’s landscape and history set the tone for an unforgettable adventure. Every stop—whether it was the thundering beauty of Skógafoss, the surreal ice formations of Sólheimajökull Glacier, or the misty magic of Seljalandsfoss—was brought to life by Einar’s insights and passion for his country. He struck the perfect balance between storytelling, science, and local folklore, making each destination feel both educational and deeply personal. Einar went above and beyond, taking us to a few hidden gems off the typical tourist path, and his care for our safety and comfort never wavered. His love for Iceland’s natural wonders is infectious, and knowledgeable. If you’re visiting Iceland and want a tour that’s both breathtaking and deeply enriching, book with Einar and Glaciers & WaterFalls. You won’t regret it!

An Unforgettable Tour Thanks to Iceland’s Warmest and Best Guide — Einar! - Einar was absolutely phenomenal! Throughout our trip to Iceland, we went on several tours, but none of the guides came close to the friendliness, warmth, and genuine passion that Einar brought to our Glacier Hike and South Coast adventure. While other guides often felt distant or routine, Einar made every moment personal, welcoming, and unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in the group had an incredible experience, sharing endless fun facts and stories that made every stop along the way come alive. His knowledge of Iceland’s landscapes and culture was unmatched, and his enthusiasm was truly contagious — what could have felt like a long 11-hour tour flew by like it was just two! It’s clear that a tour guide can truly make or break an excursion, and Einar made ours an absolute highlight of our honeymoon. If you’re looking for a tour in Iceland that feels warm, personal, and genuinely fun, make sure you book with Einar. I’m recommending him — and this tour — to all our friends and family!

Exactly what we came for! - This excursion was the main reason for our trip ahead of a milestone birthday. Seeing a glacier in person and physically experiencing it was the mission, and we were so happy with all aspects of this excursion! Our guide was Thomas, and it was clear that he has a ton of experience and that he cares about the health of the glacier; he explained how the ice recedes and grows, and what’s typical for the glacier and what is newer activity. He was laser focused on safety and ensured everyone’s gear was correctly situated. The waterfalls were awe inspiring. Notes to future attendees… You should definitely wear boots, some folks were sneakers and that did not look pleasant. Wear more layers than you think you need especially if there is wind and I know you’re in good hands.
