- Helsinki Cathedral - After exploring Senate Square, the tour proceeds to the White Helsinki Cathedral. This iconic structure is one of Helsinki’s most impressive and frequently visited landmarks. Time will be allocated for an interior visit, provided there are no ongoing services or weddings, and for capturing memorable photos.
- The National Library of Finland - Situated in the heart of Senate Square, the National Library of Finland boasts a stunning interior. This cultural treasure houses manuscripts, rare books, and exhibitions. If group sizes permit and the library is open (weekdays), there will be time to explore inside. Otherwise, photos of the magnificent interior will be shared.
- The Bank of Finland - The tour continues to the Bank of Finland, the central repository for Finland’s monetary deposits. This stop offers a connection to World War II, where Finland’s relationships with military neighbors, both past and present, will be discussed.
- Restaurant Lightvessel Relandersgrund - The next destination is the remarkable Relandersgrund Boat. This stop is rich in historical significance related to Helsinki’s past. It offers a great photo opportunity with views of Uspenski Cathedral, so cameras should be ready!
- Katajanokka - Katajanokka is a hidden gem of Helsinki, renowned for its Art Nouveau buildings in the Finnish National Romantic style. It boasts the second-largest collection of Art Nouveau buildings in Europe, following Riga in Latvia.
- Kauppatori - This sauna stop provides a splendid view of Kauppatori market stalls and is the most central sauna location. From here, visitors can also take a boat to Suomenlinna. Guides will offer recommendations for post-tour visits.
- Uspenski Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali) - Completed in 1868, the majestic Uspenski Cathedral, with its golden domes and ornate interior, overlooks Helsinki. Subject to opening times, the tour will include a visit inside to appreciate its stunning architecture.
