• Veikkola - Experience a traditional Finnish evening at our charming lakeside residence. We are excited to welcome you! Enjoy a 40-minute scenic drive through the countryside in one of our eco-friendly classic cars to reach our home.

Your adventure begins with the timeless ritual of preparing the wood-heated sauna. While the sauna warms up, we will collaboratively prepare a delightful three-course dinner. Gain some local culinary insights as we cook the menu you have pre-selected (Sautéed Reindeer, Smoked Salmon, or vegan ‘Meatless Meatballs’ - with lactose and gluten-free options available).

Following dinner, we provide towels and bathrobes, and you can change into your swimsuit in a private dressing room. Then, it’s time to enjoy the invigorating sauna and a swim in the lake. This simple and soothing tradition is central to our culture and happiness.

At the end of the evening, a taxi will transport you back to your accommodation.

As this is our private home, the atmosphere is genuine and relaxed - offering a unique experience not found in hotels. Just bring your swimsuit; we supply everything else, allowing you to focus on being our guest and enjoying your Happy Finland Experience. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

• Traditional Finnish Pickles - A selection of seasonal delicacies. You will taste picked cucumbers with honey, and rye bread with pickled herring (the ultimate Finnish test!).
• Option 1 - Sautéed Reindeer, Potato Mash and Lingonberries - We’ll make this iconic dish together by sautéing the reindeer and preparing the mash and lingonberries. Not to worry, this is not Santa’s Rudolf!
• Option 2 - Smoked Salmon, Potato Mash and Dill Sauce - You will help us smoke the fresh salmon right here at the home. We’ll serve it with a cold lemon-and-dill sauce, potato mash, and rye bread.
• Option 3 - ‘Meatless Meatballs’, Potato Mash and Onion - A plant-based take on our childhood favorite. These pea-protein meatballs are served with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, and plenty of mustard.
• Ice Cream, Finnish Berries and Treats - We finish with selection of ice cream topped with Finnish berries. And you’ll get to taste some of the treats - like the salty liquorice, if you dare!
