Suomenlinna Island is home to approximately 800 residents and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is one of the world’s largest sea fortresses, dating back to the mid-18th century, and has been upgraded multiple times. Originally built as one of Stockholm’s outposts against the Russians, it was conquered by them without a single shot and later served as a prison – this island has had many roles.
The excursion concludes on Suomenlinna Island, where you can stay as long as you like and return with your ferry ticket (provided at the start of the tour). It’s recommended not to rush after the tour, as the island offers attractions for at least an hour or more. The ferry operates until late, allowing you to spend as much time as you wish on the island.
The tour is organized in collaboration with Ehrensvärd-seura, and your guide will be an authorized Suomenlinna guide.
