The day trip you're looking for! - Lived up to my expectations and then some! Jeff was a fantastic guide knowledgable in a number of relevant subjects (the flora and fauna, wild mushrooms, sauna culture, etc) as well as a great general conversationalist. The hike was a laid back walk through the woods with tall pine and spruce stands passing by a couple of lakes, eventually ending up at a campsite where Jeff cooked a delicious lunch of sausage and vegetables. The sauna portion was fantastic and, with the traditional Finnish smoke sauna element, was different than one I'd visited in the city. I went in three of the saunas and cold plunged into the frigid lake a couple of times over the course of an hour and a half or so, alongside seasoned Finnish sauna vets both young and old. The entire endeavor from pick up in Helsinki to dropoff lasted around 6 hours. An unforgettable experience.

An all-around highlight of an excursion! - This tour was an absolute highlight of our time in Finland. We had noticed this tour well before we were planning to be in Finland in December 2024, but there weren't any tour dates available when we were going to be there. After contacting the tour company, they reached back out to let us know they found a guide and had some tours available in December. We booked this tour right away. When we met the group at the meeting point, Alex, our tour guide was very welcoming. He gave a great overview of the activities for the day and was curious about any conditions for our comfort and safety. He was very well prepared for the entire day. Our hike through the national park was so peaceful and beautiful with the freshly fallen snow. Alex was conscious about our safety as we hiked along the sometimes icy trail. The lunch at the rest stop was so wonderful. The sauna...AMAZING. Alex provided a very clear overview for those of us that weren't familial with Finnish Saunas. We had an amazing time heating in the sauna and chilling in the icy lake waters. It was an absolute spectacular day and event and very will led and organized by Alex.

Must do experience - A really enjoyable day, starting with an easy hike through amazing scenery to our lunch spot. We enjoyed a great lunch cooked over open fire before hiking back to the starting point. The highlight was the unique experience of a sauna followed by a dip in a freezing lake. Jeff and Kiia were amazing hosts. If you do one thing in Helsinki, make it this experience.

This is a must do tour when visiting Helsinki - We went on this tour today, had the best day with Jeff as our driver and guide. Rona was helping Jeff today and together they made us feel welcome and included on this great tour. We went for a lovely hike made special by all the snow that had fallen in last 24 hours. Very picturesque. After a delicious lunch at our campsite, we walked back to enjoy the wood fired sauna and cold plunge in the icy water. Our group was excellent and we all had so much fun with Jeff and Rona encouraging us. This was one of the best tours I’ve ever done. A must when visiting Helsinki. Thank you for a wonderful day. Hike, Picnic outside, Sauna, Swim, Relax. A perfect Intro to Finland. - This was the best decision of my entire first trip to Finland. What a special way to learn about a country! The hike around the park showed us lingonberries still yielding flavor. We learned facts about the various spruce, pine, and birch trees in the area as well as the different edible and not-so-edible mushrooms growing in the region. Our hike was followed by an amazing meal cooked over fire. We had a hot juice made with Nordic berries, sausage and potatoes, and cinnamon cake for dessert. Eating a meal cooked over an open fire is a special event. Lastly, we enjoyed a traditional wood sauna with the extra experience of dipping in a frozen lake. Sauna, swim, repeat. Jeff was the perfect guide for a perfect trip. It is not surprising that he gets all five stars consistently.

National Park Hike & Finnish Sauna/Lake dip with campfire lunch - Jeff was fantastic. Hike was nice, lunch was great and huge. The steam sauna was a blast (wear a knit cap for your ears) and the lake plunge was unforgettable. Definitely a must do if you are in Finland, you won’t regret it!!

Amazing Finnish experience - We had a great tour with Jeff. Luckily we ended up having a private tour and it was great to hear from Jeff all about the National Park we went to given how knowledgeable he was in regards to the nature right down to the bird life, types of berries that grow (tasting included) as well as mushrooms! The walk around the Forrest was lovely & we enjoyed the Campfire lunch that Jeff cooked up overlooking the frozen lake. A highlight was the Finnish Smoked Sauna as well as cold water plunge. We could see the passion that Jeff has for what he does and it was lovely to hear about how he and his partner Kiia have built their business. We would certainly recommend taking this tour as part of the Finnish experience when staying in Helsinki. Kylie & Michael
