Embark on a self-guided audio tour through the heart of Helsinki, discovering the significant locations in Tove Jansson’s life and career. This journey spans from 1914 to 2001, accompanied by Tove, her friends, lovers, family, and the beloved Moomins.
This official audio tour is developed in collaboration with Moomin Characters Oy Ltd. The narration is provided by actor Alma Pöysti, who portrayed Tove Jansson in the biographical film and whose grandparents were close friends of Tove.
The tour is self-directed through a GPS-enabled app that you can download to your smartphone. Upon purchasing the tour, an email will be sent with instructions on downloading the app that will guide you. As you walk, you’ll listen to the narrative, and upon reaching each new site, you’ll enjoy exclusive images from Tove’s personal photo collection.
