DA dream beach - Elafonisi will remain in my heart! Magnificent trip, great guide. The bus journey is very long, but obviously indispensable.

The guide and driver were... - The guide and driver were super. The guide made sure we were well informed about the events of the trip, the area and history of the area during our ride to the beach. The ride through the gorge was an experience we won’t soon forget and on the return trip they even stopped so we could buy some of the local honey. The beach was a little crowded but beautiful nonetheless. Would definitely recommend this trip. We had a great time.

Matched the itinerary.... - Matched the itinerary. It's a long drive but the guide provides plenty of history of the island along the way. The guide spoke 4 different languages to accommodate all guests. There was plenty of time for the beach portion and the guide gave excellent advice about where to set yourself up. Overall, long but good day.

Just as described- perfect - Because we were being picked up from Hersonissos we had a very early start at 5:45am. The coach was on time and they were well organised with a very knowledgeable tour guide called Elizabeth who gave us interesting facts along the 5 hour journey. Elafonisi is a must! Do not come to Crete without seeing it. Absolutely stunning shallow warm waters. There are sun beds available (at a cost) and a couple of cafes on the beach and where the coach drops you off at the top of the walk down. We are so glad a friend suggested this trip

Great value - Overall this was a great experience and reasonably priced considering the distance of travel to get to Elafonissi. My husband and I were picked up by taxi the morning of the tour and taken to meet the larger coach bus at a near by gas station. The coach bus driver was a skilled driver who navigated the narrow windy roads well. The tour guide was interesting and had a good balance between talking and having silent times for the journey The bus ride is long but a few stops are made along the way. Once we got to the beach we had 4.5 hours to relax and enjoy the beautiful water and scenery. It’s a bit chaotic to get an umbrella and chairs but the bus gets there early enough that it shouldn’t be much of an issue. My only complaint is that for 7 hours of travel by bus, the 4.5 hours on the beach flies by. I think for 7 hours of travel 6-8 hours at the beach maybe would be better. All in all it was amazing and I highly recommend.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCE - Very nice experience, well organized, timing respect you, you could give more information about the place of the trip. The beach is wonderful but very windy and there is no possibility to plant the umbrella, there are DA beds but by the time of arrival they are all occupied. We wish we'd known sooner so we could organize better. Our meeting point was in Agia pelagia and they picked us up by car to take us to the bus, both outward and return Despite the long journey it is worth it. Our driver was particularly good and the drive nice and efficient.

Excursion! - So to start we were picked up at 5:40 in front of our hotel the bus was on time the very nice driver we arrived at the beach around 10:30 the journey and very very long but there is air conditioning fortunately! ( 4h20 come on ) with a stop of about 10min and explanations all the way with a very nice lady too but it is worth it the beach and beautiful as soon as you arrive you have neighborhood free you get to the parking lot , there are snacks restaurant or you can eat souvenir shops about ten minutes ago to get off at the beach then we had to leave for 15h10 we arrived at 20h45 a little later than expected because we had a wheel problem on the road so we stopped about 30 minutes but it allowed us to eat an ice cream!:) but everything went very well the beach is beautiful the water is very clear with pink sand it was super beautiful thank you for this day!

Beautiful - The beach is very nice. There are areas with very shallow water and ways to get into deeper water. You can see the red-pink coloration of the sand in some places on the shore. It can get very, very crowded on site, so lying down are in short supply. You should think carefully if you need shade. If in doubt, there are a few shops on site at the parking lot where you can buy anything for the beach. The way to the beach knows a few special features- rugged rocky outcrops and fine, soft sand. A challenge for all mobility impaired, as well as families with prams. The bus tour itself is exhausting from Heraklion. A challenge for tall people. The distance between the seats is not comfortable. From about 1.80 m body length you have a problem to accommodate your knees without harassing your neighbor. And even then... The bus driver is great. The little break on the way can stretch out to. To be used, for more is hardly time and if there are more buses on site, also no possibility. The beach with offshore island is special, but you should not underestimate the long drive there.

It's not worth it. - The beach is nice. The sand looks pink only with sunglasses. Hay playas bonitas en Heraclion. Traveling 4 hours one way and 4 hours return does not justify the experience.
