It is the administrative center of the Herceg Novi Municipality with around 33,000 inhabitants. Herceg Novi was known as Castelnuovo (âNew castleâ in Italian) between 1482 and 1797, when it was part of the Ottoman Empire and the Albania Veneta of the Republic of Venice. It was a Catholic bishopric and remains a Latin titular see as Novi. Herceg Novi has had a turbulent past, despite being one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic. A history of varied occupations has created a blend of diverse and picturesque architectural style in the city. You will have laizy walk around town have time for cake, caffe, ice cream.

Had a great time!... - Had a great time!
We were picked up from hotel by Andrew (our guide). He was friendly, informative and had a great sense of humor. The goal was to visit Perast, Kotor, and Budva. We loved that he got us to the destinations before they got too crowded, had our visit/pictures, etc and off to the next one. We hit all the highlights, had some great recommendations for Krempita dessert in Kotor and coffee in Perast and lunch in Budva.
We were back in Dubrovnik before dinner time so we still had time for getting dinner and nighttime stroll in the Old City when we returned!

Andrew tour guide - I had the pleasure of having Andrew as my tour guide, and I canât recommend him highly enough! From the moment the tour began, Andrew impressed us with his deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and passion for the history and culture of the area. He managed to make every stop meaningful, blending fascinating facts with fun anecdotes that brought the place to life.

Andrew was an amazing tour guide! He spoke excellent English and made the entire experience super fun and engaging. He was incredibly helpful, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and answering every question with enthusiasm and knowledge. His interactive style kept everyone involved, and he had a great sense of humor that made the day even more enjoyable. You can tell he truly loves what he does. Highly recommend booking a tour with Andrew â you wonât regret it!

Montenegro in a day - Great day trip, very informed guide.
Great timings as we stopped at Perast for an hour, Kotor for 2 hours and Budva for 2 hours. A great way to see some of Montenegro in a day!

a great guide & an interesting tour - We stopped in Perast, Kotor, and Budva. All beautiful places. Kotor especially was quite busy. Our guide, Andrew, was great though. He made everything simple & organized. Heâs also very knowledgeable & funny. A long day, and we had a great time.

Long Day but worth it! - Trip was changed to another day, which was a slightly different tour (not advised of this) however Ivor the guide was fantastic, he didnât stop on the info provided and was thoroughly knowledgeable and engaging, the places were beautiful

Fantastic - highly recommend this tour! - Our guide Igor (unsure of spelling) was really knowledgeable, he talked for several hours straight while we drove, telling us everything about the areas we passed through. It was a lot of talking for so early in the morning, but interesting and kept us entertained throughout the drive! Montenegro is a beautiful place, we loved every destination we stopped at. Plenty of free time for exploring with a wide variety of things to do, which would cater to everyone's tastes. Can't fault this tour at all, thoroughly enjoyable experience.
