Just do it! - A long day but smooth from start to finish with an excellent guide: Gediminas and a superb lunch. And how the driver managed the roads is beyond me but he did and we felt very safe. La Gomera itself is absolutely stunning and has to be seen to be believed. Just go!

Superb day - We were picked up by coach at 8am & our guide Francisco introduced himself & explained what would happen throughout the day, we boarded the ferry at Los Cristianos & on arrival boarded the coach for the trip around the island at San Sabastian. Our coach driver was Gustavo & he has got some brilliant driving skills, some of the roads on the island are tricky to say the least & he negotiated them easily with good humour. Francisco was a great quide speaking in Spanish, English & German fluently & gave ye lots of details about the island's history & people, the stop for a walk & refreshments in the forest was lovely as was the lunch & demonstration of the whistling language on the island. An absolutely fantastic day & well worth the money. Two tips if you're thinking of going take a jacket or hoodie & wear closed in shoes eg trainers as it can be cold at altitude & muddy in the forest

Snapshot of La Gomera - This was a great introduction to La Gomera and the different parts of it. It left us wanting more time there to explore more fully than can be done in a day trip.

Spectacular Garajonay - Fully recommended, the guide we had, Maria, very good. Garajonay National Park, spectacular. The food we ordered fish, stovetop specifically, was regular, although the first and dessert very well.

Day Trip to La Gomera - We were originally supposed to be picked up at 8am but when we confirmed details in resort we were told it would be 7.15am. We therefore missed breakfast at the hotel The trip itself was very good but we had a lot of pickups before getting to the ferry. The lunch was three courses with an option of wine and was an excellent standard and very enjoyable. The guide was very knowledgable and informative answering all questions asked. The drop offs at the end were arranged much more efficiently and we were back at our in time for dinner.

Average excursion - Very much time in the bus but that was acceptable and driver was fantastic PePe . Guide was god also. But the lunch was disappointing the service was a disaster but food was ok. Arriving back in Tenerife the bus info was terrible.

Too much time sitting on a coach - The tour involved far too much time sitting on the coach driving up and down steep, winding roads. Most of the stops along the way were at viewing points that pretty much covered the same geological features. The exception was the Garajonay National Park, where we just had enough time to do a short loop walk through the rain forest before heading off to lunch. The lunch was reasonably good, compared to others I have had on other tours. After lunch one of the waitresses demonstrated the local whistling language, which was the highlight of the tour for me.

Beautiful island, few stops, long bus ride, cold - The ferry crossing is quite fast and pleasant, cozy seats, only little swell as it was not so windy (some fresh wind) and a snack for coffee and snacks if you want (not in the tour price). The bus driver drove excellently along the narrow and steep streets. It was a very long bus ride with only 3 stops. The poor tour guide spoke almost without pause, as everything had to be told in several languages and was unfortunately not so well understood via loudspeakers. The travel description was inaccurate, except for the food. The choice to eat fish did not actually exist. The quality of the food corresponded to a normal snack. The wine was not of a special quality. Unfortunately, the glass viewing platform was also not approached, although this is shown in the brochure. To see La Gomera in one day there are few alternatives, perhaps the more expensive Jeep Safari is better.

The longest wait for the biggest disappointment - For past 20 years we have been saying let’s visit La Gomera, it is time to go home and we say “next time”. So this year we decided to finally bite the bullet and travel to see what we believed would be a special island. Pick up, bus transfer and ferry went smoothly. We arrived in La Gomera and were ushered into the waiting b bus. From La Gomera we spent an hour climbing up a hill with twists and turns, stopping once for photos and then we arrive at a restaurant. A typical Spanish meal was served which took about an hour and we listen to a man whistle. Personally I would have preferred to see the island as the meal wasn’t great. We were given 40mins to walk around the restaurant area going round in circles and seeing nothing but overgrowth and trees. Onto the bus and to an UNESCO site On a road wide enough for one small car let alone a bus. At a hairpin bend our bus met a bus coming the other way and I’ve no idea how both busses passed with a shear drop on one side. It wasn’t an enjoyable ride. Into the UNESCO site and we climbed steps to a viewing gallery and saw some mountains. We then climbed back down and had a coffee. Back on the bus, one further stop for pictures and to San Sebastián which is a ghost town. We decided to leave the town and sit at the sea front. Glad I ticked off La Gomera but what a let down!

Nice trip, but bad start - This was our fourth trip with TripAdvisor in 2025. La Gomera was a nice experience, but the filming was unpleasant. We received an e-mail ticket confirming that the pickup point was Sunwing Fanabe Beach, Calle Londrés 4am. 08.03 I got a call from an organizer asking where we were. I was informed that we were not at the pickup point and that we had to take a taxi to the harbour. It cost me Euro 15.25. I showed the message to the guide who was with me to La Gomera. He confirmed that there was Sunwing Fanabe Beach as pickup point and that I had therefore done nothing wrong. As I said, this was our fourth trip with you in 2025, 2 in Porto and 2 in Tenerife. I hope you are willing to refund my extra expenses for a mistake not committed by me. Friendly greetings Find Jan Henrichsen
