Engage in enjoyable activities such as crab fishing or learning traditional paddling techniques. Arrive at a local cooking school, situated in the village or by the river. Cooking Demonstration and Hands-On Experience: Select 4 dishes from a list of 10 traditional Vietnamese dishes (examples include banh xeo, fresh spring rolls, caramelized fish cooked in a clay pot, fresh steamed rice roll, green mango salad, etc.). Best cooking class ever - I agree with what everybody said before. 5 stars is not enough for this experience and like the Dutch couple before me, I would give it 10 if I could.
Hung and is family are simply the best and I had a total ball yesterday. There was a last minute cancellation, so I was a very, very lucky girl having a private experience.
The basket boat trip was very relaxing and shopping for ingredients at the local market was fantastic. Hung pointed out to me which stall sells the best Cao Lau and I went back today to have some for breakfast.
He and his family are so welcoming and the cooking knowledge of the ladies as well as their patience and humour was amazing.
In short, I had an absolute ball and wish I had some more time in Hoi An to go back and learn to cook the rest of the dishes on the menu.
This is deffo a highlight not to be missed ❤️

10 STARS! - 5 stars are not enough! 10 STARS!
My boyfriend and I have been warmly welcomed by the team at Mai Home Hoi An!
We received a delicious welcome drink! We also received a recipe in video via Whatsapp. Super sweet!
We were given clear instructions to make the perfect dish. And it was delicious!
Important: We didn't have to rush and enjoy our appetizer. Then we continued cooking and were allowed to enjoy our main course.
Our instruction was also funny, super sweet and a warm person.
The tour in the garden we really liked because we got to know new types of basil that we definitely want in our garden!
We also received a nice attention during our departure. What it is, you will discover for yourself on your visit.
Last but not least! It was in a nice environment with lots of greenery around you. Good to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown.
And the foot massage was super nice to end with.

Bike, market and cuisine - I can't recommend it enough! A relaxing bike route through the rice paddies, followed by a very interesting tour of the market. Then, visit the orchards and start cooking classes. The workshop was great and the food delicious! Thank you very much.

Best cooking class in Vietnam - I had THE BEST experience at Hung and Mais Cooking class. I was picked up by hung in the morning who was soo lovely and got to experience the bamboo boat ride, going to the local market to pick up our produce for the meals! It was such an amazing experience
Everyone was so hospitable and friendly!
There was good array of options for what you were able to cook. It was just me on the day and I had an amazing chef Thuy she was sooo lovely! I would be back in heartbeat!!! 100% recommend to book if you are in hoi an not one to miss! Thank you again!!!

Fantastic activity! - It was a great experience! The coconut boat trip was early at the morning, so very quiet! The trip to the market was very interesting, our guide gave a lot of information, which was really nice! The cooking class also was very interesting and so delicious! The women who helped us were super friendly and we had a great time. Thank you so much!

Good Quality Cooking Class - This was a really fun day! The bamboo basket was very nice and because we were on the water early, it was also super quiet and we could also see that the locals themselves really use these boats to catch crabs.
The cooking class was very well organized. The cook spoke good English and explained to us very well what needed to be done and how things worked. Then ate blissfully from everything we had made. We were packed!

I would recommend this to family and friends - We had a really lovely experience. There were only two of us in the group which turned out to be excellent. The trip on the river was really fun, we enjoyed shopping at the market and really seeing inside a market used daily by the locals. At the cooking school we were allowed to choose from a list of menu items, and then we were provided with clear instructions and gentle guidance throughout the cooking process. The facilities were excellent. We loved the flexibility provided throughout the day and the tailored information that was given to us. The next day we were sent the recipes so that we can try what we have learnt at home!

Brilliant cooking class and fantatsic value for money! - I booked this cookery class for myself and my two teenaged children. It was fantastic. We got to choose lots of dishes between us that we wanted to make. The lady teaching us to prepare and cook our meals was great. A fun activity to do, in a beautiful setting and incredible value for money, I would highly recommend this activity!

A perfect experience! - I booked this cooking class after I saw some recommendations of FB. Absolutely do not regret this - it was such a nice day! We were with 2 families (friends) - so had a "private cooking class" just for us. All was super easy. We started the day with the basket boat ride, than went to the market - which was super nice and informative. The cooking class itself was well organised and everybody had fun, including the children. All what we have prepared (under supervision of the chefs) was super tasty and we are happy that we got the recipes as well so we can continue our Vietnamese culinary journey even after our return back home. I can only recommend!
