Great local experience - Was a great ride through the life of the local people of the region. We were able to visit the last family who make Cao Lau noodles in the region which was a great experience as not available outside of Hoi an. Travelling through the local streets on a scooter was a beautiful experience and meeting the families who make local fish sauce, mat weaving and rice wine was lovely. Ha was also a fantastic tour guide with great knowledge and humour. Highly recommend.

🔥 Absolutely the Best Tour in Hoi An 🔥 - It was the most amazing tour we’ve ever had, the perfect motivation to wake up at 4am and start our early morning adventure! We visited the last family still cooking cao lau noodles in the traditional way, just like years ago. Then we stopped to see how fish sauce is prepared. I absolutely loved it and would happily export it to Poland 😍 I could write much more, but it’s best to come and discover the secrets of Hoi An for yourself! None of this would have been so special without our outstanding, highly knowledgeable, and funny tour guide. He runs an inspiring project dedicated to preserving traditional professions before they disappear, and we’re happy we could contribute our small brick to it. Highly recommended! I hope next time we can join another tour in Hoi An! 😍🙏✨

Experience authentic Hoi An before it disappears - A privileged insight into the last ancestors who have kept the traditions alive. We saw the dedication and artisan craft of Cao Lau noodle making, fish sauce (not so fishy), sleeping mat weaving, rice wine makers. The trip was experiential with all senses livened. With our private motorbike guide we rode through the sleepy streets, rice fields and townships that added so much context to Hoi An. Our tour guide Ha Ngyuen is exemplary with his knowledge, love and respect for his culture and ancestry. The conversations are the kinds that you can sit around for hours and share. His philanthropy is an extension of his ancestors. It was a privilege to share in this experience. We helped with part of the Cao Lau noodle processing, and also had a blind test with the rice wine - and its medicinal properties. A highlight experience in Hoi An! If you are reading this before you go, book in! Many people make the mistake in thinking it’s a big tour. It’s not. It runs only once a day and limited to 6 people. There was no one else after us. No one else before us. It’s exclusive. Book in as early as you can to avoid disappointment!

Don't hesitate - do this tour! - There are a million available tours in Vietnam and in Hoi An, but if you want to experience the roots of authentic culture, have an extremely knowledgable host, and see behind the curtain of this incredible community, this is the group. I have an entirely new found appreciation for the world that I have stepped into and am so grateful to Ha and his team for the experience that I had just this morning. Yes, it's early, but it is 100% worth it. Ha's staff picked us up at 4:15am, exactly on time, and took us to meet the rest of our small group (7 total people). We spent the morning meeting and interacting with locals who are carrying the torch for a series of dying arts - from noodle making, to the fishing village, weaving, and medicinal rice wine. And of course - amazing coffee and breakfast. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Ha is a wonderful guide with so much knowledge to share.

Wonders & Hidden Gems of Hoi An - I just had the most incredible day on the "Hoi An Hidden Gems on Motorbike" tour with Ha Nguyen, and I can't recommend it enough! From start to finish, Ha made our experience unforgettable. His passion for Vietnamese culture truly shines through, and his enthusiasm is contagious! We explored some amazing hidden gems, starting with what I can confidently say was the best coffee I've ever had! Then, we enjoyed learning about some traditional mat waving, which was such a unique experience. The highlight was definitely riding in the REAL basket boats—none of those commercialized versions you see on Instagram. It felt authentic and exhilarating! Oh, and let’s not forget the weird rice wine! It was an adventure in itself, but I assure you, we all survived and had a good laugh about it! Ha's storytelling and insights into the real Hoi An made the tour feel personal and special. His craziness and positive attitude kept the energy high throughout the day. If you're looking for an authentic and fun way to discover Hoi An, this tour is a must! Thank you, Ha, for an amazing day filled with laughter, culture, and unforgettable memories!

The most authentic experience in my life! - The early morning tour discovering the hidden secrets of Hoi An with Ha was, without a doubt, the most authentic experience I have ever had in my life. This is not just a tour, but a true immersion into local life: you enter people’s homes, share real moments, and immediately feel welcomed as if you were at home. It’s an experience that fills you up and leaves something deep inside you long after it’s over. Ha is incredibly friendly and engaging, and his natural sense of humor makes the entire experience even more enjoyable without ever losing its depth. His crew is just as amazing: warm, respectful, and always smiling. Everything is perfectly organized, with great care and respect for both the people and the places you visit. Waking up so early is absolutely worth it—in fact, it’s an essential part of the magic. I truly wish that all excursions around the world were this authentic, immersive, and meaningful. An unforgettable experience. Thank you, Ha.

Truly unique experience - The sunrise motorbike tour with Ha was the highlight of our trip. We began by witnessing traditional noodle-making from one of the last two remaining families in the business, even getting a chance to lend a hand in the process. As we rode through the streets at dawn, we passed a small traditional fish market. We also explored the art of fish sauce production, sampling it at various stages of the process, soooo good. One of the memorable experiences was a blind tasting of rice wine :). While you might hesitate to try some of the options offered, blind tasting helps, each one turned out to be surprisingly delightful. The bike drivers were exceptional, giving us a genuine feel for local life as we navigated the streets of Hoi An in the early morning light. Ha stood out as an engaging conversationalist, sharing his passion for the culture and traditions of the area. We enjoyed every moment of the tour; it truly was a unique experience.

See the real Hoi An before it disappears - Our whole family felt so fortunate that this tour came to our attention from a recommendation of a fellow traveller. Ha, was a gracious host and guide as he and his entourage of riders took us through the artisanal neighbourhoods of Hoi An - a completely different world to the Old Town. We had the privilege to meet and observe the last families making fresh Cao Lau noodles, fish (but not fishy) sauce, sleeping mats and infused rice wine. Throughout the tour, Ha provided his unvarnished perspectives on the beauty and loss of these trades as Hoi An grows out of poverty. Could not recommend this tour more highly, you won't regret it.

Great authentic experience - My husband and I did the “Sunrise Motorbike Experience – Hidden Gems of Hoi An” tour this morning with Ha. I found it on the Saigon Happy Tour website while booking activities for the rest of our holiday, and it immediately caught my eye. The 4:20 am pickup was a bit out of the ordinary for us, but I’m so glad we booked it because we had an incredible experience. We started by visiting a local family making the special Cao Lau noodles, where we learned about the process, tried kneading the dough ourselves, and tasted the freshly made noodle. From there, we went to see how fish sauce is made and tasted some at different stages. We then stopped for breakfast (sticky rice, banh mi, and coffee) before visiting a family who weaves mats and having a go at weaving ourselves. The tour finished with a visit to see how rice wine is made, followed by tasting several different varieties. The tour was absolutely worth it. Ha is a fantastic guide, a great conversationalist, and explains everything clearly.
