A must in Hoi An - a must do when in Hoi An. The boat ride is quite short may be 15 to 20 minutes, but its all about the experience. Boat people very helpful in getting folks on and off the boat. Not flash, but well worth doing

Was fun - It was a nice experience to do the lantern trip. The only thing is the drivers need to learn to not continually want you to do poses as we all don't do that. It was quick preferred it was a bit longer but glad we experienced it . I highly recommend it 👌

Nice trip. - It was a nice trip. We got put our lanterns in the water and had a nice experience with it. The tour lasted about 20-30 minutes.

Nice evening on the water - We had a nice experience lightning a candle and placing our lanterns in the water. So many boats and so many colourful lanterns on the river. Took some nice photos too.

Pros: convenience. The... - Pros: convenience. The communication was great. Our guide showed up in the rain. This tour would be perfect on a beautiful day.
Cons: you’re paying for the convenience. You can purchase the tickets on your own - it would have cost less than half to just walk up to the ticket booth on our own in the same area …we decided to do this as a fast track but it turns out it wasn’t needed.

Don’t pre book, just go to the boats - It is much cheaper to just go to the boats, you will pay about 50% less.
The tour company just gives you the lanterns and takes you to a boat

Hijacked! - We had prearranged tickets with a travel agent but was pulled from our ride to a sampan. Since we didn't speak the language, we assumed our driver knew the connections and allowed the intrusion. Much to our horror, we were hijacked and asked for an exorbitant amount. We paid much less because we didn't want a fight. Our original contact person from Memories Land called us to look for us and found us. Thank God she guided us the rest of the way.

Misleading - I thought I had booked a private boat tour with a boat owner. Instead, this company just led us to the public line for boats and put us in the 30 minute wait line. I could have done that by myself - it didn’t help at all. We just waited along with everyone else to get on a boat. All the boat rides are just for your party so this company is really not offering anything. It was actually very awkward - they have a young boy waiting in line and they just keep adding customers into the line which understandably caused a lot of problems with everyone else in the line who had been waiting for a long time. False advertising!

Not worth the money - After doing some more research I realised we were charged about triple the going rate. I thought we would be safe going through the app but apparently not. We sat on the boat for about 5 minutes, the guide never offered to light our lanterns (we realised he wasn’t going to and luckily had our own lighter and did it at the end by ourselves). You don’t see anything more on the boat than by the waters edge. Got a couple of ok photos and that’s it.
