Dragon Travel Viet - At 7:00 AM, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hoi An or Da Nang to embark on a DMZ tour heading to Dong Ha town, where a short break will be taken to relax. The first stop includes visits to the Rockpile, Dakrong Bridge, and the Ho Chi Minh trails en route to the Khe Sanh combat base, the site of a significant battle in Quang Tri where a US base was attacked in early 1968. Visitors will also see the remnants of an old airfield. At the Ta Con airport museum, guests can explore exhibits that depict the harsh realities of the fierce war and the resilience of the Quang Tri people.
Lunch will be served in Dong Ha town.
In the afternoon, the tour continues along Highway 1, where participants will learn about the history of the old citadel of Quang Tri and visit the Church of La Vang. Stops will be made at Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River, which marked the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972. The next destination is the Vinh Moc tunnels, a network of tunnels constructed by villagers seeking refuge from bombings during the American War, where an entire village lived and fought for two and a half years.
