- Hoi An Ancient Town - Situated in the lower reaches of the Thu Bon River in Quang Nam Province, approximately 30 kilometers south of Danang city, Hoi An is a historic town. It was a thriving international trading port and a hub for Japanese, Chinese, and Western trading ships during the 17th and 18th centuries. Prior to this era, it was also the site of the Champa port, known as a location on the maritime Silk Road. Today, Hoi An Ancient Town stands as a remarkable example of a traditional Southeast Asian port city, remarkably preserved. The majority of the houses feature traditional architecture from the 17th to the 19th century, lining the narrow main streets. Hoi An is a landmark showcasing a rich blend of cultural influences.
