- Cawdor Castle - You will be presented with an audio guide, which provides an informative and entertaining tour of this spectacular castle, which dates back to at least 1454. From the 16th Century portrait gallery in the drawing room, to the 17th Century Flemish tapestries in one of the bedrooms, every room features fine art and antique furniture, and there are stories behind every piece. After you have completed the tour you will have time to enjoy the varied gardens. There is also a cafe and a couple of gift shops here. Entrance to Cawdor Castle is included in the tour price.
- Culloden Battlefield - Our final stop is at Culloden Battlefield, one of the most important battlefields in the UK. Here, your guide will bring the landscape to life on a 30-minute walking tour, as he enthralls you with the story of the last pitched battle on British soil; the Jacobite uprising of 1746.
- Clava Cairns - Clava Cairns is a well-preserved group of prehistoric burial cairns which were built around 4000 years ago. This Bronze Age cemetery has a wide range of interesting historical structures to explore such as passage graves, ring cairns, a curb cairn, and standing stones. For Outlander fans, this is a must-see stop!
- Scottish Highlands - We take the roads-less-travelled to show you some of the spectacular scenery the Scottish Highlands is famous for.
- Loch Ness - Our next stop is Dores Beach, on the south side of Loch Ness, where the view was recently voted one of the tops in the UK! You will have some time to take a stroll on the beach, or perhaps you would like to purchase a unique Nessie souvenir from the resident monster hunter, Steve Feltham. There is also a cozy Scottish pub on the shores of the Ness, where you may wish to sample a local beer or whisky.
- Inverness - With its fascinating history, location on the River Ness, a plethora of characterful pubs, and Scottish shops, there is something for everyone here.

Excellent Service! - You can book your tour with confidence that WOW will deliver as promised. We received an email from out tour guide Gordon explaining how to meet him and he was there with a sign waiting for us. It was great to have his local knowledge of Scotland and he was eager to answer our questions and converse with us. We were a small group of about 12 people in a nice Mercedes Van which made traversing the narrow Scottish Roads possible and made our journey comfortable. I highly recommend WOW Tours!

I had a wonderful time and saw Scotland presented with dignity and accuracy. - This was, by far, the best shore excursion I have taken in years. WOW worked hard to get things organized despite Princess telling us (and them) two different times for people to be released from the ship if they did not take a Princess purchased tour, but despite that we were an hour early. WOW adjusted the tours based on who was at the meeting place first.
Our driver was excellent and informed us of what we were going to see, when it happened and why it was important. I came away wanting to read more about these places. For an all day tour, it was paced well so that we were never bored but never wanted to slow down either.
Cawdor Castle, Clava Cairns, Culloden, Loch Ness, and Inverness made for a long but very satisfying tour.

A Must Do While in Scotland - WOW Scotland offers a great tour of the Highlands of Scotland that will work well for cruise ship passengers. They are accustomed to working with the needs of the cruise ship passengers in port for a short time. They pack a lot of interesting stops in a day! Making the option also available to purchase a lunch at one of the stops is a nice touch also. This is a great way to see the beautiful scenery and history of Scotland. The company is very good at communication prior to the tour and also very accommodating to their customers. Our group of 7 had a lovely time with Gordon as our tour guide.

Definitely book this tour - Wonderful tour!! We had a great time and an amazing tour guide, Murdoch :) Would highly recommend. We did the shore excursion from the cruise port. Easy to locate the tour guide and had us back to the ship in plenty of time.

Great way to explore the Highlands - Such a wonderful day touring the Highlands with WOW Scotland Tours. Best way to visit Cawdor Castle without the crowds. Grateful for a skilled driver who artfully navigated the roads and glad we didn’t have to. Learned great historical and cultural information and experienced beautiful sites.

WOW! - Absolutely outstanding experience with Wow Scotland Tours during our stop in Invergordon! This was easily one of the best tours we've ever taken. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing breathtaking Highland landscapes and unforgettable stops; but what truly made the day exceptional was our guide and driver, Murdoch. His warm, engaging personality and deep passion for Scottish history, culture, and traditions brought every moment to life. An incredible storyteller, Murdoch made the day both informative and entertaining, and his accessibility and friendliness made everyone feel at ease. A truly memorable and heartfelt journey through Scotland!

You must do this tour - This tour checked all our boxes, Cawdor, Culloden, cairns, Loch Ness, Inverness, AND Hairy Coos! Our guide, Andrew, was beyond excellent and his tour long narrative, a trilogy in four parts, was engaging and entertaining. I truly feel that I am returning home with real knowledge about Scotland. And while the itinerary was packed full we never felt rushed. We did excursions in every port on our cruise but I can safely say: BEST DAY EVER!

Great tour! - Great tour! Saw so many wonderful places! Our guide Andrew was knowledgeable and hilarious and made the tour so much fun! I would highly recommend this tour and Andrew for anyone looking for a small group tour of Scotland.

Gorgeous scenery, interesting stories - We had a great time and loved our driver/guide. I believe his name was Murdoch and he was full of entertaining stories and detailed facts. The stops were varied and delightful.

- When I was looking for a private tour for our cruise port of Invergordon, WOW Scotland was top on the list. From the 1st contact with Gordon Pearson, it was apparent that this was going to be our most looked forward to tour. Gordon was very receptive when asked about a couple of special things, most of all viewing a particular memorial stone @ Culloden. This was a family trip for us with our roots all in Scotland and it was important to us to be able to connect somewhat with our history.
That said, we started as a group of 12 which whittled down to 8 after some unfortunate events. Each time there was a change, I informed Gordon and he was very understanding and sympathetic to our issues. Some concerns arose with the port but Gordon was right on top of it to make sure we were going to have a great time. It was very reassuring.
When we arrived, Gordon was right at the dock, waiting for us. He introduced us to our tour guide, Tim Blott. Tim got us started on our tour and immediately we could tell that this was going to be a great day. Tim was very knowledgeable, personable and funny. We had some laughs, learned a lot and were thoroughly entertained in many ways. You could tell that Tim was passionate about his work. He had many stories to tell and he made an excellent tour even better. When we got to Culloden, Tim took some time with us to explain some of the history behind the battle, and what the ultimate fate was. During this time, Gordon was also there and walked with us part of the way and showed us a plague that was in addition to the memorial stone we wanted to see.
I would like to thank Gordon, Kay and Tim for an experience of a lifetime. The attention to detail by this group is second to none and the tour couldn’t have been better. I would highly recommend them to anyone and when I come back, I will definitely take another tour with them.
