- Urquhart Castle - Discover the majestic ruins of Urquhart Castle, strategically perched on a steep promontory. - Invermoriston Falls - Explore Invermoriston Falls and the Summer House: The falls cascade under the ancient Invermoriston Bridge, formed by a series of rapids rushing along the rocky river. A short walk leads to the summer house, a romantic Victorian folly built by the former laird of Glenmoriston, designed to shelter guests as they watched salmon migrate upstream.
- Fort Augustus - The charming village of Fort Augustus is a popular stop for mariners and tourists. Located at the confluence of River Oich, it enters the middle section of the Canal, which stretches 60 miles (100 kilometers) from Inverness to Fort William. On busy days, the village buzzes with activity as onlookers marvel at boats navigating the five canal locks, lifting them through the Great Glen.
- The Falls of Foyers - Enjoy a short yet spectacular walk to the south of Loch Ness, where the elegant Falls of Foyers cascade into a frozen wonderland.
- Boleskine House - Built around 1760, Boleskine House was once owned by the Fraser family, occultist Aleister Crowley, and later, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. The house is rumored to have a tunnel leading directly to the estate cemetery, adding to its mysterious and intriguing aura.
- Dores Beach - The Nessie Hunter and Dores Beach: For over 30 years, Steve Feltham, known as the Nessie Hunter, has dedicated his life to finding Nessie from his simple accommodation on the shores of Loch Ness. Dores Beach offers sweeping views of the Loch, and The Dores Inn is a popular spot to relax and enjoy a dram or two before heading back to Inverness.
