Originally constructed in 1950 as a bridle path, the pass offers a rewarding scenic experience in exchange for the adventurous challenge it presents.

The gravel road, with elevations from 1544m to 2876m at its peak, is reserved for the most daring and skilled guides. For safety, only 4×4 vehicles are permitted on this Pass.
