- Cruise Terminal - Hiroshima features two cruise ship ports, Ujina and Itsukaichi. The operator will ensure pickup at the correct port by checking the official cruise ship schedule provided by Hiroshima Prefecture in advance.
The itinerary for visiting Miyajima (Hatsukaichi City) and Hiroshima city center will be arranged flexibly, taking into account your schedule, weather conditions, and any other factors on the day.
- JR West Miyajima Ferry - After a 40–50 minute drive, parking will be near the ferry terminal for a delightful 10‑minute ferry ride to Miyajima. Due to limited parking and challenging road conditions on the island, vehicles will not be used to cross.
- Itsukushima Shrine Torii - As we walk towards Itsukushima Shrine, the iconic Great Torii gate will gradually appear. Enjoy the surroundings and capture photos as we approach.
- Itsukushima Jinja - The tour continues to Itsukushima Shrine, Japan’s unique shrine built over water. As you stroll through its elegant corridors, the guide will explain the site’s history and features, allowing you to take photos or purchase charms along the way.
- Daishoin - Next, we visit Daishoin Temple, renowned for its beauty and atmosphere on Miyajima. The temple grounds, filled with colorful statues, serene pathways, and breathtaking views, offer a tranquil and spiritual experience. Visiting the temple is optional, and the plan can be adjusted to focus on other interests like local cuisine, shopping, or extended time at the Peace Memorial Museum.
- Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street - Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shopping street, sampling local food and drinks and browsing for souvenirs.
- Ground Zero - After returning to the mainland, the ferry ride and drive will take about an hour before reaching Hiroshima City. The walking tour begins at the Hiroshima A‑bomb Hypocenter after parking nearby.
- Atomic Bomb Dome - Spend reflective moments at the Atomic Bomb Dome, contemplating Hiroshima’s history and the landmark’s significance.
- Children’s Peace Monument - The guide will share the stories and importance of the memorials and monuments as we explore Peace Memorial Park together.
- Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum - The final stop is the Peace Memorial Museum, a serene and contemplative space where conversations are minimal. With exhibits in both Japanese and English, you will explore the museum independently after the operator scans the QR code of the reserved ticket at the entrance. Assistance is available for renting an audio guide in another language if desired. (Audio guides are not included in the tour price.)
- Ujinahatoba Park Parking Lot - The tour concludes with a return to the port where your ship is docked. On the way back, there will be an opportunity to discuss your visit and share any thoughts. If time permits before your ship’s departure, you may choose to end the tour in front of the museum and return to the port independently by taxi or other transportation. (Taxi fares are not included in the tour price.) The itinerary will be tailored to your preferences, including your preferred ending point.
