It's a great way to learn... - It's a great way to learn about Hobart and what it has to offer. The Botanical Gardens were a highlight, despite the rain. The trip to MONA was something remarkably different.

Very enjoyable and interesting tour - We had a very enjoyable day out on this tour. Our bus driver was full of interesting facts and knew all about Hobart and the places we went to. We also did the MONA visit on the ferry. The gallery was very unique and worth a visit.

Great trip for time poor visitor to Hobart. - Apologies but I have forgotten the lady that did our tour - great voice, knowledgeable and the opportunity to go to see things that not known even to some "locals" - like the rings that show the point to the bridge was damaged. the coffee shops and areas around Battery Point were great to visit and see how life was in the early days. MONA was amazing, confronting, disorientating.....Lots packed into such a short period of time

Good city tour and trip to Mona - Very good city tour with Mark. It was interesting seeing the sights of Hobart and how some areas such as Battery Point had been rejuvenated. We then caught the ferry to Mona and spent a few hours there. The museum was interesting but not to my taste but the whole experience was good.

Modern art extravaganza for young and fit people - This museum is unique but not necessarily in a positive way. The building itself is a piece of art, being carved in the rock. The museum is hard to navigate, especially for older people like us who had to navigate in the dark between running children and strollers. And all info is on an App that we could not bother to download as we are not keen to spend our time on our phone rather than looking at artwork. There are a few interesting things to see between lots of weird or shocking exhibits, reflecting our decadent world.

Not worth the money - Although Allan was a very friendly guide who shared interesting information about Hobart and the area, the trip itself is simply not worth the money. 1. Unclear departure time – Some places show that the trip starts at 9:30 p.m., others only at 9:45 p.m. (which was when we actually drove) 2. Cascade Gardens – Really boring; we only saw the brewery from the outside on the parking lot, and the garden itself wasn’t very exciting. 3. Rosny Point Lookout – The view was nice, but you can get the same view many other places, and Mount Wellington is much more impressive. 4. Botanical Garden – Only 45 minutes, which is not enough to see the garden – especially if you also want a coffee or a toilet visit. 5. Waiting time at the ferry – There were 25 minutes before the ferry to MONA, which is not enough time to do something or to relax properly. All in all, we spent a lot of time on the bus and drove past places without really experiencing them. The trip can be nice if you do not have the opportunity to walk so much, but otherwise I would definitely recommend just buying a ticket to MONA and explore on your own. And don’t buy the trip directly on the official website – it’s cheaper via e.g. GetYourGuide.

Updated review to address lies. DO NOT TRUST!!!! - I have updated this review as I could not reply to the answer left by Experience Tasmania. The original review below was written on the 5th of April after a VERY disappointing experience with booking agent/Greyline Bus Tours. The responce I got was basically, we sent you the correct details stating a 9:30am meeting time, and much like the Greyline driver, tried to make out it was our fault. Original Review: " Booked the tour through a company called getyourguide and have a printed ticket showing the tour to start 9:45am. Arrived 10 mins early to discover we were late and the TINY tonka style tour bus was waiting. Driver (Peter) seemed annoyed that we were not on time and made us to feel embarrassed for doing, in my eyes, nothing wrong. Even after I offered him the printed ticket clearly stating 9:45 not 9:30 he didn't care ignoring the printed ticket and showing a complete lack of remorse for his previous attitude. Now I am not a teenager but this tour was a trip of the dead, if you get my drift, and the driver was no exception telling us stories of his family and retirement plans. WTH?? I was hoping to learn about Hobart not hear retirement stories from someone who clearly should have already given in and left the job. To cut a long story short if you want to be treated like cr*p by the rude tour guide, listen to rubbish and personal stories and spend the whole tour of a matchbox sized tourbus (seats smaller than economy airline seats and an isle in the bus no more than 30cm wide, full of people and poorly ventilated) book this event. " The bottom line here is when we are on holidays we tend to forgive a little more easily, after all we are relaxing theres no work to wake up to and so we are likely to accept the things we really shouldn't like this. There are a number of ways to get to the Mona Art Gallery, there are a number of options for Hobart sightseeing tours and after taking this one I can promise you you'd be better off with one of the others. I have included an extract from the ONLY confirmation email I received for my booking in an attempt to keep "Experience Tasmania" honest in their reply.
