• Mount Field National Park - As one of Tasmania’s oldest and most beautiful national parks, Mount Field is a must-visit. Located just 1.5 hours from Hobart, this stunning area boasts lush temperate rainforests, atmospheric alpine moorlands, and breathtaking waterfalls. It’s a haven of tranquility with numerous short walks to enjoy.
• Russell Falls - The journey begins with a walk to Russell Falls, Tasmania’s most iconic waterfall, featuring a striking 3-tiered drop. The walk is easy and delightful, taking you through a picturesque forest path surrounded by diverse forest and temperate rainforest species. This is Tasmania’s most photographed waterfall, offering a spectacular view before the walk continues.
• Horseshoe Falls - A short climb beyond Russell Falls leads to Horseshoe Falls, a magnificent waterfall nestled in the forest, often considered even more impressive than Russell Falls!
• Tall Trees Walk - Continuing along the Three Falls Circuit, the path leads to the Tall Trees Track. Towering above are the giant Swamp Gums, reaching heights of around 80 meters, making them the tallest flowering plants in the world.

A lunch break is enjoyed in one of the many scenic picnic spots within the National Park.

• Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary - The next stop is Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, where a variety of native wildlife awaits. Gain insights into Tasmania’s rare and precious fauna during an informative wildlife tour led by Bonorong’s expert staff.
• Mount Wellington - A 60-minute drive from Bonorong brings us to the summit of Mt Wellington, standing majestically behind Hobart at 1271 meters above sea level. Spend 30 minutes taking in the breathtaking views. Whether from the crisp air or the panoramic vistas, your eyes will surely water. Witness the entire city, surrounding mountains, and the sparkling Derwent river system below.
