- Russell Falls - Russell Falls is arguably Tasmania’s most iconic waterfall, featuring a stunning 3-tiered drop. The walk is easy and delightful, following a scenic forest path through mixed forest and temperate rainforest species. As Tasmania’s most photographed waterfall, the view is breathtaking. Beyond Russell Falls, visitors can ascend the stairs to Horseshoe Falls, a magnificent waterfall nestled in the forest, often considered even more impressive than Russell Falls!
- Tall Trees Walk - This short 30-minute circuit trail guides visitors around the Tall Trees Track. Towering above are the giant Swamp Gums, reaching heights of around 80 meters. These are a series of short, spectacular walks through the cool and serene rainforest, eucalypts, streams, and local wildlife.
- Lady Barron Falls - Continuing along the Three Falls Circuit, visitors enter the Tall Trees Track section. The towering Swamp Gums, the world’s tallest flowering plants, stand high above. From here, there is an option to complete the full circuit along the Three Falls Circuit, leading to Lady Barron Falls, or for those less inclined, to return to the starting point.
- Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary - Next is Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, where visitors can encounter a variety of native wildlife. Learn about Tasmania’s rare and precious fauna during an informative wildlife tour led by the expert staff at Bonorong.
- Mount Wellington - To conclude this quintessential Tasmanian day, visitors head to the summit of kunanyi / Mt. Wellington. Standing 1271m above Hobart, the views on a clear day are truly spectacular. This is a fantastic way to conclude a day filled with Tasmania’s most unique and remarkable experiences, including rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife, and stunning scenery.
The return to Hobart is around 5.30pm.
