The route passes through the charming seaside towns of Orford and Swansea on the way to Freycinet National Park. As one of Tasmania’s earliest National Parks, Freycinet is renowned for its breathtaking coastal scenery. The park features pink granite mountains, secluded bays, crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife, and incredible walking trails.
- Wineglass Bay Lookout - The group embarks on a walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, a moderate uphill trek of approximately 45 minutes. Upon reaching the top, visitors are rewarded with the iconic view of Wineglass Bay and the stunning Freycinet National Park. Take a moment to enjoy the scenery, capture memorable photographs with the help of the guides. The walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout is one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, requiring good mobility and fitness. It is a 1.3 km uphill walk, followed by a downhill return.
- Wineglass Bay - From the Lookout, there is an option to return to the starting point with the tour guide, or for those eager to explore further, continue the walk down to Wineglass Bay beach.
Wineglass Bay Beach Walk – This is a 2.5-hour return walk, requiring good fitness. The tour allows ample time to complete the full walk to Wineglass Bay Beach and back. Once at the beach, enjoy lunch in this beautiful setting, take a swim in the pristine waters, or stroll along the white sands. This walk is one of Tasmania’s most rewarding, leading to a stunning destination.
- Honeymoon Bay - For those opting for a shorter walk, return from the Lookout with the Tour Guide to explore other areas of Freycinet National Park. Visit the picturesque Honeymoon Bay and enjoy lunch while admiring the scenery.
- Cape Tourville Circuit Walk - Visit the spectacular Cape Tourville Lighthouse and enjoy the easy-grade walk, one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, known for its breathtaking views of the Freycinet Peninsula.
- Devil’s Corner Cellar Door - The group regroups for the return journey. The final stop on the East Coast is the stunning Devil’s Corner Winery, where there is time to appreciate the magnificent view. On-site, enjoy wine tasting, wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood, oysters from Freycinet Marine Farm, and ice creams, all available at personal expense on the day.

- We provide accurate interpretation, and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimize negative impacts.
