We had a great time... - We had a great time driving through the Homer area. Grace took us to some beautiful lookout spots. The history of the area was really interesting. We are so glad we made the trip and booked this tour!

Wonderful day in Homer - We had a great day off the ship in a small van with Grace. She had a fabulous knowledge of wildlife, history and the general area, and we made several stops to spot wildlife. We also spent about a half an hour in Old Homer and another 30 minutes walking Bishop’s Beach. All in all a very very good day.

Great trip! - We had a great trip with Pictours Alaska featuring a friendly and enthusiastic guide in Captain C, a small group of 8 of us from our cruise ship, and some amazing weather. We saw great scenery from a range of viewpoints and some wonderful wildlife spotting with a large group of sea eagles along the shore (as well as one very close to outside the ladies’ restroom!!), and some moose in the bushes beside the road.

Excellent Tour with Grace - We had a great day with Grace. We saw sea otters and bald eagles before we even left the parking lot. Grace was very personable and knew everything about the area. We had plenty of stops for photos, and the views were amazing. Highly Recommend.

A wonderful day in port with Grace. - We arrived in Homer on a bright, sunny day, and Grace was waiting with her van. She took us to many of the local lookout spots hunting for wildlife, and we actually saw more than I thought we would between the hours of 10 and 2 since wildlife is best spotted at dusk and dawn. We saw bald eagles, which isn’t hard, sea otter, and even a moose or two. No bears, sadly, but we tried. We also got a good history lesson (Grace really knew her stuff) and talked a lot about the wildlife in the area and how things have changed over the years. We walked on the beach, we visited Old Homer, we learned some fun photo tricks for smartphones, and we had an all around great time. Much better than the folks who took tours provided by our ship.

Fantastic day in beautiful Homer - Captain C met us at the pier at the appointed time. Communications was clear and excellent from the tour operator. We saw lots of eagles, flocks of birds flying in amazing unison, two moose in the marsh lands, birds in a gorgeous wetland, the wildlife visitors center, a walk on the beach and twi stops for shopping. Captain C. Was a gracious host and provided lots of information about Homer, Alaska, and wildlife. Wonderful tour - highly recommended.

Turnagin Arm - We had a very nice trip down Turnagin Arm, to the wildlife conservation center and to Portage Lake . Greg was a great driver, friendly, full of facts and shared lots of his pictures with us. He provided tips on the best ways to photograph the panoramic vistas along the inlet. We were lucky and saw a moose in the tall grass and lots of spawning (spawned out) trout spending their last days floating in the water. Unfortunately did not see any Beluga Whales, which the Arm is famous for, but we did get a moose :).

A brilliant day - Given the size of our party, we were given a private van and our own guide, which was simply great. John, our guide, was fantastic. He was great fun, very interesting and had a good sense of humour. In spite of the weather, we had a wonderful day.
