Hope to Return! - Lucky and Captain Chris kept it fun and very informative. They were both very responsive to questions. We saw amazing sights, including a crocodile and local birds, such as the Anhinga. I left with the desire to see more of this beautiful park.

Tour for those who want to leave the commercial scheme to see animals in everglades. It's to know the ecosystem. - The walk was excellent. Since it was Monday, there was only our reservation. She was honored with mastery. It is a calm and educational walk. Lots of information about the ecosystem, fauna, flora. Maybe for the hour, we took the walks at 1:00, and for the fiery heat, we saw only a few birds. The captain and crew were very friendly and helpful. The boat was in excellent condition, very clean, neat. Only the seats I found tough and uncomfortable. There is no boarding Service. It is only allowed to bring water to drink. No other foods or drinks.

Guide Was Very Knowledgeable - The guide for this tour was very knowledgeable and experienced. We didn't see a great deal of wildlife on the tour, but that is always going to be hit and miss. Most of the tour was spent in the canal and there was a bit of time in a lake. Best part of the experience was walking over to the boat ramp after the tour to see numerous manatees.

A Disappointing Boat Ride - This 90-minutes boat ride does not take you deep into the Everglades back country or wilderness. Much of the time is spent in the Buttonwood Canal and crossing Coot Bay. The boat turns back soon after entering Whitewater Bay. The naturalist for our tour was knowledgeable and tried hard to make the ride interesting, but there just wasn't that much to see. If you want to see lots of alligators and water birds, I suggest visiting Shark Valley and walking or cycling along the tram path. We passed several kayakers in the Buttonwood Canal that were working hard to make progress against the wind. This isn't a great place to kayak. I think that they would've been happier kayaking in one of the ponds along the road to Flamingo.
