Night #1: Departure from Hanoi to Ha Giang City via Overnight Sleeping Bus

Old Quarter - Guests will be picked up in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or at designated meeting points. Please be prepared before the scheduled departure time.

Ha Giang - The overnight bus journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang takes approximately 6 to 8 hours. Upon arrival, guests will be dropped off at our office, where a dormitory bed will be available for a few hours of rest before embarking on the motorbike tour.

HA GIANG CITY - QUAN BA - YEN MINH - PHO CAO – SUNG LA - DONG VAN TOWN

Ha Giang - 8:30 AM - Enjoy breakfast before starting the Ha Giang loop journey.

• Check in at KM 0 Milestone, Bac Sum Slope, and Quan Ba Heaven Gate. Stop to view the entire Doi Mountain and Tam Son Town.
• 12:30 PM - After passing Can Ty Pass, visit beautiful spots like lonely trees and Van Chai Cliff, then have lunch in Yen Minh Town.
• 1:30 PM - Continue towards Dong Van to visit Tham Ma Pass, Pho Cao Village, Sung La Valley, Lung Cam Cultural Village, “Pao’s House,” Tam Giac Mach Field, and Moon Rock Field in Sa Phin Village.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Quan Ba Heaven Gate is one of Vietnam’s five most famous Heaven’s Gates, alongside Anh Giang Heaven Gate (Cao Bang), O Quy Ho Heaven Gate (Sapa), Linh Quy Phap An Heaven Gate (Da Lat), and Nghinh Phong Heaven Gate (Vung Tau). Located at the entrance to the Dong Van Karst Plateau, Quan Ba is a must-see destination in Ha Giang.

The road to Quan Ba Heaven Gate is a breathtaking route for backpackers. It is situated on National Road 4C, connecting Ha Giang City and Tam Son Town. From Tam Son, it’s just a 3km drive north, or about a 1-hour drive covering 46 km from Ha Giang City Centre.

Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village - Nestled in the narrow, picturesque Sung La Valley is the village of Lung Cam. Recognized as a ‘cultural tourist village’ by local authorities, the highlight here is a century-old traditional Hmong house. This adobe structure, surrounding a stone-paved courtyard, was once an opium emporium and more recently featured in a Vietnamese film.

Lung Cam is located 25km west of Dong Van. Without personal transportation, visitors can flag down any bus connecting Dong Van and Tam Son.

Dinh Vua Meo - 4:30 PM - Visit the mansion of the Vuong family (King of the Hmong people). Here, visitors can truly appreciate the life and culture of the H’Mong people. In the late afternoon, under the day’s last sunlight, experience the architectural exchange of three cultures: H’Mong, French, and Chinese.

• 6:00 PM - Check into a hotel or homestay and rest.
• 7:30 PM - Enjoy dinner, then explore Dong Van Old Town and savor street food at the Dong Van Old Town Night Market.

DONG VAN Town – MA PI LENG Pass – NHO QUE River– MEO VAC – MAU DUE – HA GIANG City.

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - 8:30 AM - From Dong Van Town, the tour guide will lead an exploration of the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass.
Check in at Ma Pi Leng Monument, Panorama, Death Cliff, and other scenic points at the pass’s summit. Take a boat on the Nho Que River to admire the majestic Tu San Canyon.

• 12:00 PM - Have lunch in Meo Vac Town.

• 2:00 PM - Travel through Mau Due, Duong Thuong Village, Quan Ba, and Ha Giang City.

• 5:30 PM - Arrive in Ha Giang City, shower, and rest.

• 8:30 PM - Board the bus back to Hanoi.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - Ma Pi Leng Pass is a stunning mountain pass in Northern Vietnam, specifically in Ha Giang Province. Known for its breathtaking beauty, it is often regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s most scenic passes. The pass traverses the majestic limestone peaks of Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO-recognized site.

Nho Que River - The Nho Que River in Ha Giang has become a popular destination among travelers. It offers a captivating experience, allowing visitors to admire the mesmerizing allure of its cerulean waters and the grandeur of the surrounding mountains. The seamless blend of these elements creates an enchanting natural landscape that leaves everyone in awe.

Ha Giang - Return to Hanoi by bus, arriving at Hanoi Old Quarter around 4 AM. Guests can take a taxi or car to their hotel independently.
